Bad luck weekends!

Last 2 weekends mummy was busy rushin in and out the hospital. Zheng admitted earlier and now he's recovering but daddy is hospitalized at the moment, since last Friday.

Not so sure what is the cause that made daddy's ankle area swollen and at the end unable to walk. Internal fluid is the culprit from MRI and scan done in hospital, might get second opinion from other hospital since there is no cure for an unknown case.

Tomorrow will be Zheng's 3rd birthday but without daddy. How unfortunate is that... :( Well, mummy need to go back from work now to get Zheng's birthday cake. We'll celebrate in his school then. More updates later... later...

It's Malaysia Day! Yes, it's daddy's B Day too!!!

Mummy was not feeling well last night.... hardly can attend the kids... Fortunately, this morning was better and we continued out plan for this 16 September, a special for Malaysia and also it's DADDY"S BIRTHDAY!!! So nice, everyone in Malaysia is celebrating with daddy today.

After breakfast we headed to Kek Lok Si. Even though Kek Lok Si located in Penang island, we hardly visit there. Today, daddy said he wanted to take a walk there so up we go!

 This is another outing fir the kids since last trip to Phuket &Krabi... Oppsss... mummy suppose to blog about that but just too busy with work lately and unable to filter more of 1000 photos of them during the trip! Well, coming soon...

En and Zheng couldn't wait to see fishes at the pond... so big and so many of them...

Later, we went to Gurney Plaza to have lunch. We planned to try at Chilli's but unfortunately, the queue is long. So did Chicago Grill... daddy had no patient for waiting so we ended up at Manila's Place! Food was nice and not so crowded, so consider Manila's Place if you can't get a seat at Chilli's or others famous western restaurant in Gurney Plaza.

This Jumbo Sausage is for Zheng! Amazingly big and of course he hardly can finish all... daddy and mummy got to eat them up in the end... *blurp*

This is daddy's Set Lunch... where is the Chicken?? The chicken looks rather small in the serving covered with cream butter sauce...

After meal, mummy went to bookstore while daddy brought the kids to playground. Bought some books before we went home.

In the car, suddenly En En said "Where is daddy's birthday cake?" So that reminded us that we forgot about the birthday cake! We bought a small Italian Chocolate birthday cake for daddy from Maxim's Cake house on the way back.

Opps... now everyone knows how old is daddy... LOL! En En recently will ask us quite special question like: "How old are mummy when I'm 100 years old?" She likes to do counting and feel so proud that she can count till 100. Therefore, comes out all weirdo question lately... duh...

As for Zheng, he is still a good tester for all the food we have around. He is the type of kid who will eat any food in front of him even you told him we need to wait or he can't take that food. Anyway, his favourite food is HOTDOG! That's why with that Jumbo Sausage we had during lunch... And another thing is he always think that everyone's birthday is his birthday... he is very good at singing the Birthday Song though... :)

It's Valentine's Day!

Just feel nice to get the kiddos to make Valentine's Day card for daddy... and they got the cance to play with Glitter!!! En En is defintely excited, Zheng just followed whatever JieJie is doing.

Ladies receive flowers from guys and everyone knows that how expensive to buy flowers on V-Day! Ah Kong and Ah Mah also criticized on buying and sending flowers on V-Day. It is said to be a waste of money.. anyway, mummy doesn't really like flowers though...

Guess what, Ah Kong and Ah Mah gave a briliant idea!! Instead of sending a bouquet of flowers / roses, why not send a pot of growing roses!!! Buy that beautiful pot of roses 1 week before V-Day.Water the plant, taking care of it until V-Day then send it to your love one. The roses will still bloom and bloom all year long plus save you lots of money!!! LOL...

Coxackie??!! And the end of Breastfeeding Journey

Not really a real one but suspected symptom. Both En En and Zheng have ulcers in the throat but no spots on hands or foots. It started with fever on En En since last friday while Zheng was having flu. Visited paed on Friday as well and we only brought back medicine for flu and fever.

Zheng started to have bad appetite then refused to eat since Sunday's afternoon, and then at night... After that refused to drink at the end of the day. Worst still, he rejected to breastfeed! Mummy think this is really weird as Zheng never rejects McB since he's a newborn. He started to get fever too at midnight and was screaming and crying non-stop. All of us were so tense and panic with his reaction and therefore we brought both of them to visit the paed again on Monday morning. En En got a few red/white dots ulcers at the throat while Zheng got... Oh God! Countless ulcers all over his throat!!! No wonder he refused to eat and drink. Both were given antibiotics for 5 and 6 days treatment.

The most terrible part is Zheng still woke up at 1-2am, 3-4am screaming and crying non-stop for 2 nights! Everyone in the family couldn't sleep as long as Zheng was awake no matter during daytime or night time. He even asked us to bring him "kai-kai" at 2.30am by pointing to the door!!! We can say that almost 80% of the time Zheng was screaming and crying with occasionally complaining pain. Daddy got fever as a result of lacking sleep for 2 days... luckily mummy is well enough to take care of Zheng while gratefully Ah Mah is taking care of En En. Mummy is very determined not to fall sick during this difficult period... thanks God En En is recovering fast although she's feeling been left out as we pay more attention to Zheng.

Last night, we decided to bring Zheng for an emergency visit to the paed again thinking in maybe can get some solutions to let him feel calmer and sleeps well at night or maybe something to ease his throat pain. He took less than 10oz of fluid for a day! He has extremely dry lips and smelly breath. We only can feed him plain water, ice-cream and some juices with "leong fan" , one of his favourite drinks. Besides crying, he took very small amount of watery porridge and oat. The other paed at night clinic said he's having Coxackie, most probably got it from the elder sister. She only prescribed XYLOCAINE VISCOUS solution to make the throat and mouth numb for ease of feeding. Anyway, haven't really use this solution till this morning.

Last night Zheng slept well and never woke up till 6am... so did En En. Well, better way to say it is as long as Zheng is not screaming, En is able to sleep well too. Another weird scenario is Zheng wants Ah Mah to sleep with him at night and refuse mummy!!?? Maybe because Ah Mah accompany En En and Zheng for afternoon nap everyday, so once Zheng stop breastfeed to sleep, he's turning for another comfort with Ah Mah. This is just too strange to mummy.

We visited paed again this morning according to the scheduled appointment date. Thankfully both of them is recovering well. We are so relieved to hear that and in fact Zheng started to eat and drink much more than 2 days ago only in the morning. En En too has almost clear throat. They are slowly back to their usual self.

Now, daddy need to rest more for the following days and mummy feels grateful to have back sleeping time... Just feel so miserable mummy's breastfeeding journey ended up in this way. So, Zheng is breastfeed exclusively exactly 21 months and 17 days!

Mini Donuts

This post is dedicated to daddy, the donuts lover! Simply too cute (the size)... LOL!

Moment that we enjoy...

It's gonna be time for ICE-CREAM! Three of us, with daddy being the super fan... just love the chocolate-top cone sundae from McD even En En also will scream for it if she sees us with one in hand. She can't really finish the whole cone by herself and mummy will be the one who helps her to finish up 70%, otherwise the ice-cream turn into liquid very fast with En En's super slow and careful bit-by-bit-lick. She is sure enjoying it very much... Slurp~! Slurp~!

We found out we are only fond of the chocolate-top sundae even there are so many types of icre-cream available from McD such as the McFluffy, the new Sundae Twist,... then later only mummy knows the chocolate used is from Cadbury. No wonder the chocolate taste different from the sundae in cup!

Yesterday daddy and mummy passed by McD and can't help to get another 2 cones and enjotying them in the car before go home! Really sick with McD cone sundae... Great ice-cream doesn't necessary to be Haagen Daz or Baskin Robbins, isn't it?

Wrestle Mania!

En En loves to watch wrestling show... trust me! She's just like her Ah Kong and daddy who can watch the show till forgot to eat and sleep! Mummy also know a few famous wrestler from the wrestling show such as WWF (World Wrestling Federation) and TNA after watching with them. :P

She used the king size bed as her wrestling ring and we surrounded the bed with bolsters and pillows. Her wrestle partners? Sure will be all her pooh bears and other plush toys. She was having a great time in the ring till she noticed that we were recording down her movements. The video clip is abit long but it's funny to look at her. She's such a cute little one and we hope she's not developing into another violent baby.

I lost my diamond pendant

It's a 3-diamonds pendant! Not really big diomands but got sentimental value. It disappeared together with my white gold necklace which I bought on my own! I was searching it high and low since... before En En was borned. Well, being a forgetful person (and not so well in organising stuff compare to daddy) , for most of the things that got missing they are hardly to find back. I'm miserable, and wonder where did I put them?

Last night I did a mini spring clean in the bedroom and even clean all the cabinets and drawers, still no miracle... but I found 200 bucks in my jewelry box. See, this is me! Last time I found some 50 bucks from books as bookmark which I already forgotten when I slided them in between the pages. Basically for my case, when I'm really looking for that item in a rush or panic situation, I couldn't find any. Mostly I can found back accidentally. I feel bad about losing this 3-diamonds pendant since 2 years ago and I started to suspect this one might be a real missing.

I guess it's really gone missing now. Daddy was very upset about this, the 3-diamonds pendant is a gift from him. I feel so bad too as being a "tai tou har" (means forgetful)... feel so sorry to him as I failed to keep my precious stone. The sad (and surprised) part daddy said is we haven't take a picture on the pendant to keep for memory.

Mission No.1: Mummy got to learn to be more organized from daddy
Mission No.2: Snap pictures of whatever precious pieces that we have for keepsake!
Mission No.3: Might do scrapbook on them too...

My Sweet & Humour Hubby

Hubby will be going to US this Friday and this week he insists that I have lunch with him. He said wants to spend more time with me and at home more time with En En. He doesn't mind bringing us out every night. Just the 3 of us.

Today after lunch, he accidentally said something which I felt nothing then suddenly hilarious and can't help laughed out hysterically! LOL

DH: "You are the woman of my dream."

Me: feel honour and sweet**

DH: "You are the only one that I can dream of..."

Me: pause & think for a while** is that mean you are forbidden by your mistress to think of other woman?? But I never say this to you...

He's real funny as he made it in a singing tone & I burst into uncontrollable laugh.
Love you dearly!

By the way, he will be back in 1 week time.

Tying the Knot... 3 Years

Today marked the third years into our marriage life from the day we signed the paper together. ( OMG! I just realized Jazzmint also share the same big day with mine!)

It's a long journey since we first met in year 2001. I was still doing my last year and we were so comfortable with each other company even till today! We married for 3 years, wedding ceremony just 2 years ago but we have been together for 6 years! Unbelievable!!

Well, I nearly forgot about today and no wonder hubby asked me out for lunch. (Hubby keeps on complaining how come I'm so forgetful) We just had a simple lunch and talking back about old days then only we realized how fast time flies.

So, Happy Anniversary to hubby & myself too!!

Progress on En En's Condition - Part 2

After much trial and attempt to feed En En any solid food, still no improvement. Finished the medicine but we still wonder why she's not having any appetite. After discussion with SIL, PIL and daddy, we decided to bring En En to see chinese sinseh at Eu Yan Sang. I personally think when doc or paed concluded that the child is alright but my instinct still tell me it's not alright, I will go for chinese sinseh for another throughout check. I shall say it's my ultimate choice for second opinion. Of course when I decided to go for chinese sinseh I already prepared that her condition is not as simple as take medicine then can recover by itself. Normally it will take some longer period to totally get rid of whatever symptom or diseases that ones may have. This is the reason I trust on chinese sinseh's treatment, finding the root cause. So, what is those whatever? We have no idea until we let the sinseh check on En En.

We waited at the Eu Yan Sang building almost 1 hour, the chinese sinseh looks young but he gave us very detail explaination. He checked on En En throat and told us it's not yet fully recovered and the nose also been stuffed with running nose all the while. Huh? How come En En never got running nose which we can see from outside? The sinseh claimed that if we are able to see the running nose, that's a mild case. Running nose that stuff inside is the worst case! No wonder En En sometimes will vomit out some sticky phlegm eventhough she's not having flu, that's the running nose that stuffed inside. The sinseh even asked us who is the one who have sensitive nose because En En's case is inherited from either daddy or mummy. Obviously, it's from daddy since daddy also got stuffing nose all the while and the other way to confirm this (the sinseh taught us) is by using a light (small torch light, perhaps)to view inside the nostril. Normal nostril should looks like a nice 'longkang' (the drain) without any bumpy or flatten area. En En and daddy both have either bumpy or flatten area inside the nostril. This condition is link very much to the throat and therefore both of them some times may encounter breathing difficulty (this explain why En En likes to poke her nostril most of the time) or breathing with loud noise (daddy's one). En En's throat will need longer time to recover. In that case, if En En has sore throat and fever it will be like a cycle. Meaning once she's recover from having medicine, after some times she will have it back again. This one I got to agree coz it is true for En En case. As for kids with such body characteristic is not advisable to take soy milk coz it will make the case worsen!

Another interesting part is these are not the root cause yet... the root cause is from the liver. They both are easily to become heaty and hot, restless plus bad temper. En En is borned with such condition and the sinseh told us if given threatment when young can totally get rid but for daddy case, it's not that easy already. Wah!!! Really alot of knowledge here... I guess the chinese sinseh help us to reveal most of the questions that we were having or seldom pay attention to. I'm not praising anyone but I do believe chinese medical is a good alternative. At least I know more about my girl's problem or symptoms now.

En En needs to take chinese herb to cure her symptoms and luckily she never rejects chinese herb coz Mummy still give her "Jing Fong San" (in mandarin, a type of chinese herb supplement for babies and toddlers) even till today. we will need to monitor her from time to time especially the diet and lifestyle as people like them is not advisable to become night owl.

Movie Freak

Mummy and Daddy did a crazy thing on last Friday's afternoon. Oh yes, this is a backdated post. Because of a movie... yes, the long waited movie in this year - Transformers!!! So, we went for the movie in the afternoon while En En was staying at home with Ah Kong, Ah Mah, Gong Gong & Po Po who came all the way from Alor Setar to visit us.
Mummy think that this is really a crazy decision but still sneaked out for the movie with daddy who already can't wait any longer to watch it. In fact, so did mummy... Terrible parent, aren't we? But we did enjoy the movie so much, it's really cool. LOL! Hope En En will understand one day about those childhood memories of your parent.

Childhood Hobbies

Since daddy never wants to involve in this blogging thingy (I created this together with him but he only has interest to read) mummy is going to blog about daddy’s hobbies so that my children will understand more about how precious daddy’s hobbies are. Mummy really salute daddy.
When mummy first met with daddy, mummy never know that daddy has so many special hobbies. Ok, let me introduce daddy’s childhood hobbies that are still carry on even until today.

Daddy - Childhood-nowadays hobbies:
1) Old Coins – this one I was quite shock when I first knew coz to me it’s a hobby for elderly.
2) Comics – Favourite are comics from HK artist, Marvel, DC, Japanese animation are also some of his favourite. Used to have a big box of comics book but already donated out.
3) Dinosaurs – He can talk about dinosaur for the whole day and he has encyclopedia as well as CD collection of dinosaur series.
4) Cartoons – Any type of cartoons will make him glue on the sofa. Prefer Disney.
5) Kung Fu freak – theory and practical, can’t beat him.

Recently, daddy has growing interest on new items:

1) Gemstone – this one mummy also explore with daddy and grandma when preggy with En En and learn quite a lot from reading and surveys we do together. Daddy likes Sapphire and mummy like Peridot & Tourmaline.
2) Chinese Tea – not the normal type but it’s sold in pieces and quite costly.

Mummy - Childhood-nowadays hobbies:
1) Piano Music – started at 4 but stop at 6; then continue again at 11 then stop at 16; continue again at 26. If I’m not interested, I don’t think I’ll continue again
2) Nutrition & Health – won’t miss reading every bit of the information that I come across and was determined to become a nutritionist but it just doesn’t happen.
3) Keeping old mag & newspaper – especially those with nice pictures and writing
4) Cartoons – Especially from Disney, determine to get all the cartoon movies collection.
5) Kung Fu freak too! – Theory is there but practical only good for performance since I was a national wushu exponent before… haha!

Latest hobbies:

1) Gemstone – it’s great to have something similar to do with my partner
2) Crochet – learned from grandma but this really takes time as I have lots of unfinished projects
3) Photography – inspired by En En since she’s so cute
4) Bookscrapping (w/wo digital)- have idea on what to do but never start on anything yet.

On top of all, daddy’s top hobby is collecting old coins and daddy determined to pass this on to our children and grandchildren, if possible. Mummy know mummy can’t live without music. If we were living oversea, most probably daddy will be an archeologist and mummy will either be a musician or a nutritionist.

Been influenced by daddy, right now mummy also have a passion on old coins indirectly whereby mummy will keep coins that’s aged more than 20 years. Mummy know when it is passed to my children, it will have more sentimental value.

An Umbrella

This evening suddenly rain poured heavily... I was about to attend an interview which already scheduled last week. I was so worry as I left my umbrella at home!
As usual, the first thing I can think of is my hubby. I already used to call him no matter what type of emergency I'm in and I know he sure will have a solution for me. (I think I'm too dependant on him but who cares? Sometimes I feel I am so silly but thank god I have a multitask + very hands-on hubby and I think the god created us quite fair)
I just know that I need an umbrella and the place I'm going is near to my hubby workplace. He has an umbrella in the car and I know what I requested from him is a silly act but when I'm in doubt, I tend to ask silly questions. My hubby decided to meet me at the place I'm attending and passed me the umbrella even he's all wet!!! Oh God... what had I done?? I don't think others will threat me like this and suddenly I feel so sorry to him and I shouldn't be asking him to do this. By right, I should get the punishment to wet myself for not checking on my umbrella in the car!
I'm very touch and he is so sweet. The first thing I reached home to do was quickly talked to my hubby and apologized on my silliness. Guess what he answered me?: That's the reason why you need to have a husband!
