32 Weeks

Went for routine checkup today and baby is doing fine. In fact, baby's head already down!

Mummy's weight: 77kg

Baby's weight : 1.965kg

(gynea said baby will grow very fast during the last month, probably will hit 3kg by the time for delivery.... true?)

Alright, mummy already banned coffee since earlier last month in the fear of having a lower weight baby and will be very caution about every food intake. Luckily this time no constipation issue, much more better than last pregnancy.

Still rushing to knit the baby cardigan and hopefully ready before due. Can't believe I have so many things to do before baby arriving... Next task will be thinking of what to pack for the hospital bag.

In great demand for Peace of Mind!

Who? Of course it's mummy...

En En has turned into a very terrible toddler. On one hand we are almost celebrating the joy of her success in potty training but yet her crying and screaming haunted everyone in the family.

En En will turn into a little monster when she crys (the signal) that she wants to pee in the mid of the night or dawn. The problem is she refuse to get down from the bed to go to the potty and refuse us to carry her to the potty as well!!! She will cry and insist till Ah Mah comes into the room then only she is willing to sit on the potty. There were times Ah Mah went out to morning walk or to the market and En En will cry her lungs out. Times like this mummy got no other choice but to force her to sit on potty and everytime she was in very terrible urge to pee! If we wait for a few more seconds definitely she will pee onto the bed!

Mummy and daddy can't do much here except forcing her to sit on potty and let her cry out loud but once she peed, she will settle down and sleep back.

Why she is becoming so terrible and make others to dislike her behaviour? Is it because I'm having No.2?

Differences between 1st & 2nd Pregnancy

Not sure why the differeces are so big but these are the very obvious few:-

1. Appetite
1st Preggie:
Not picky on food but mostly like craving for starchy and high carbohydrate food - resulted in tremendous weight gain during 1st and 2nd trimester.

2nd Preggie:
Not so good appetite comapre to previously eventhough not picky on food as well. Portion size is smaller due to lesson learnt from last experience. :D

2. Caffeine, Junk, Canned & Processed Food
1st Preggie:
Banned all of them throughout the whole 9 months... I had such a strong determination.

2nd Preggie:
No restriction! Oh my god... Don't quite understand how come I'm addicted to coffee so much since I'm not a coffee person when I'm not pregnant. Loves fast food, burgers, and don't bother food that I took from can or processed type. This time really prone to weakness... :(

3. Exercise
1st preggie:
Was very ethusiasm in yoga for pregnancy or any stretching exercises even I was having placenta previa. Took precaution from gynea and tried to squeeze time in for light exercises.

2nd preggie:
Don't bother any type of exercise since having a toddler really makes me treasure my sleep and rest time.

4. Story time moment
1st preggie:
Won't miss that every night to tell a story to the baby in the womb.

2nd preggie:
Still have nigh time story-telling to the elder one. So, the second one in the womb share the story.

5. Music time
1st preggie:
Played the classical music almost everyday through CD player. Attended exam after 2 months delivery.

2nd preggie:
No CD player this time but practise more on the piano and the baby in the womb followed me to exam too.


Sometimes, it's quite unfair to second baby, isn't it?

After the butt whacking...

En En seems understand and behaved better than before after she realized she can't use crying to get what she wants. Maybe it's true everyone in the family must co-operate and firm in teaching her what she done is acceptable and vice versa.

Right now whenever she did something wrong or cry without any reasons we will tell her that we are going to whack her again and she said: "Ah Mah ta-ta (beat buttock)!"
She only allows Ah Mah to whack her... *roll eyes*

Another method to stop her from crying is by telling her there is a mozzie or a housefly is flying into her big mouth and this works! :)

Mummy whack the little butt!

En En was crying and screaming non-stop even it's already 10.30pm. Reason? She just wanted Ah Mah to accompany her to sleep and yet she was making fool of us. By that time, everyone already back to their bedroom and Ah Mah was awake because of her crying.

We stayed with En En in the room for more than half an hour and yet she's still refuse to sleep. Suddenly, she told Ah Mah she wanted to drink water. Alright, Ah Mah gave her the water she said she wants milk. Gave her the milk she said she wants water again! Ah Mah told her if she still keeps on doing this, Ah Mah was leaving the room. En En is trying to be funny with us but once Ah Mah went out from the room, En En never stop crying and screaming... yeah, to use this method as a "weapon" in order for Ah Mah to come back. She even forced herself to scream and cry, just imagine how naughty she can be!!! Ah Mah never came back and En En in fact was very tired as it already passed her sleeping time. Still making noise after 15 minutes... then she said she wants to pee but didn't want mummy's help to sit on the potty. She was screaming for Ah Mah till she finally pee abit on her pants!

Mummy gone mad already and can't help to force her siting on the potty but En En protested to wait for Ah Mah. Mummy whack her butt twice as her screaming and crying getting louder and louder... Ah Mah came and whack her again as she's apparently crying and screaming for no purpose in the first place. Then, En En vomitted due to screaming and crying for too long... everyone was angry with her and the most terrible part is she didn't allow mummy to clean her up or clean up the mess in the room! Yes, she used her crying to let us know that she didn't want mummy to do things for her at this moment and she wanted Ah Mah to do everything! This is just too much... Looks like she been too used to people listen to her all this while... right now everyone started to feel something must be done (rotan pls...) to avoid her from becoming too dominant, demanding and bossy.

Mummy is unable to sleep tonight... can't imagine how my cute little girl can turn into a horrible little monster that boiled our blood so badly! Looking at her sleeping now, mummy feel pity that she got whack but what to do?

See... what I can do!!!

When no one disturb me, I'm able to asemble them one by one without any help... I'm so clever, am I?

Papa help me to do this but I transform them into my hands!!! Yeah! I'm genius... Hahaha...

Always think that this baby is smaller compare to En En... is it true for pregnant with a boy?

Just a little bit about En En

She's getting more choosy and active nowadays... Not sure why she picks a particular person to help her in changing, bathing, feeding and many more... she will cries and makes loud noises in order to get to what she wants. She's becoming very terrible to handle and fussy nowadays, ones must let go on what is doing to SERVE her!!!

This is what she did when we asked her to give us a cute-looking face!

She loves to draw. Everyday she will request for paper and her crayon and draw for quite a long time if no one disturbing her. She even will ask you to Shut Up when she's drawing and you are talking non-stop to her. She said that to her Gong Gong... How rude... Little artist-to-be?

She's able to differentiate colours very well now but still not sure what names of colours to call. Loves to find similiarity of just anything. Then will tell you "Same, same!"

Addicted to Barney nowadays and glue to the square box most of the day but most of the time she prefers to listen to the show rather than watching... she even has her own small TV! Mummy think she's been pampered by other family members coz En En will scream to watch her favourite VCD or DVD whenever we switched on the TV. Therefore, Ah Kong (who can't live without a TV) cannot tahan anymore and provide a small TV for the little one. Guess this is not a healthy habit but a TV is unavoidable for a city kid... *Sigh*

First one from Bryan's mama on 19 July, Brandon Lim had greeted the world!!!

Second one from Chanel on 20 July, Ariel Lim (loves the name) had an early peek to the wonderful world too!!!

Knitting Nightmare

when you realized you need to undo everything...

I'm a Pooh Fan!

Just look at my collections... I have the plush toys... hmm... maybe mummy can help me to collect all Pooh's friends together one day so that I can play with them in Hundred Acre Woods. I love the Pooh's bear story books (yeah... mummy is broke buying so many story books about Winnie the Pooh & friends from times to times) and I learned alot of new vocabs from the stories.

And the magnets too... those are my toys...

Confinement Lady or Confinement Center?

Seriously I really need advise on what is the biggest difference between staying at confinement center over having a persoanl confinement lady at home?

Alright, the most I heard is confinement center is not supportive over breastfeeding. True?I guess that's the biggest worry for moms who is planning to breastfeed the baby. Secondly, it's not as comfortable as staying at home, right? But as for my case, it will be a problem to get a CL to stay with us as the house already so crowded... I'm staying with in-laws, BIL and coming soon another Indon maid. Well, I guess it is a luxury to have a persoanl CL at home but it seems abit impossible and I'm reluctant to stay in confinement center due to rumours like "you won't get 100% nutritious soup or diluted red dates drinks as the center caters for so many mothers" or "mother will be advised to leave baby at nursery for care"... and so on. Is this true? Any mummies stay in confinement center before??? Mind to share with me your experience?

My only concern is to breastfeed (in a relax place)... that's my highest priority. In fact, I don't really hope to stay at home with in-laws as too many "advises" from previous experience that caused me had terrible stress and thus failure in breastfeeding!!! Initially I plan to get a CL in my hometown and spend 1 month there but there will be some business going on in my family and therefore the plan is cancelled. I really feel miserable over this and don't intend to get the CL to stay in my in-law place... looks like confinement center will be my next alternative.

Pregnancy Update

Went for a routine checkup at Adventist Hospital last Monday but only manage to record it today. Don't know why lately so lazy to blog... and sledom take pictures of En En too. I thought I will have plenty of time to capture my gal's photos more since staying home but it's the opposite.

Baby No.2 now is 24 weeks old... and it's a BOY!!!

Mummy's weight: 72.10kg
Baby's weight : 730g (mummy is carrying most of the extra weight...)

Gynea claimed that baby is growing well, just too active and it's difficult to get a good picture from the scan. He's moving so much througout the whole scanning process. Boys are like that?? Besides, am having Braxton Hicks contraction according to gynea as there are a few times the belly felt harden but luckily it's not regular. I thought this only affect in late pregnancy? So, it can be happened earlier too.

Mummy don't really restrict on junk food this time, just eat whatever the heart feels like... love the aroma of coffee eventhough I'm not a coffee person. I wonder whether baby will come out with darker skin???!!

Naughty Baby!

Mummy got so pissed off when En En is always against us.

1) Mummy asked En En to bath:

She says: "My hands pain pain, cannot get wet!" In fact, there's nothing wrong with her hands... or she will simply said: "Later... baby is watching movie!" *Arrgh...*

2) Mummy asked En En to collect her toys and keep in the box:

She quickly jump onto the sofa, sitting there and pointing to her legs saying: "Leg pain, no strength (jiao3 tong4 tong4, mei2 you3 li4 - in Mandarin) to do!"

3) Mummy asked En En to finish her milk as she will leave 1-2oz for every feed:

She says: "Ming2 tian1 he4! "(Drink tomorrow!!!)

4) Mummy asked En En to take her porridge or collect her dirty clothes from the floor:

She says: "Baby pao3 tiao4!" (Baby runs away!!!)

5) Mummy gives En En milk bottle:

She says: "Mummy cannot give! Ah Mah can!" *roll eyes* So picky one?

6) Mummy asks En En to greet Good Morning:

She says: "Mei3 you3 Good Morning!" (No Good morning!)

Is this part of Terrible Two phase??

Maidless for more than 1 month!

The new maid still don't know when will arrive... everyone in the family is playing their role in keeping the house clean and sharing the responsibilities among each other. But pity MIL as she will do all the cooking and most of the house cleaning job as there are some which I'm not able to help with the little one inside the belly. Furthermore, i need to ensure that I take serious precaution on household chores that I'm unable to carry out.

Since this 2 weeks MIL already hurt her foot and unable to climb upstairs so often. Well, finger cross that the new maid will arrive within this few days or otherwise, MIL's situation will be even worse. Feel bad that I can't really help much! On the other hands, I'm busy to wash En En's clothes everyday, sometimes only with hands when the clothes is not many; cook her porridge almost daily and work on any type of beverages or juices in order to encourage her to eat or drink more. Quite tiring if she refuse to take in enough fluid as she still has constipation. *Sigh* Iron clothes, clean the bedroom, sometimes help to wash to bathroom but definitely not scrubbing the floor as I can't squat for a longer period, not forgetting that I still work part time 3 day per week! Life is quite rush when it's my working day. It's not easy to be a SAHM as working in a house is a never ending task!

I realized my previous maid didn't really clean the cloth diaper throughly. No wonder her cloth diapers were still with some urine smell after collected from the clothesline. I'm worry about the new maid too as these modern cloth diaper needs extra care and wash I hope she will listen to me or else I'll have earlier out of shape of damage diapers. I hope that I can wash it on my own but with a newborn coming soon... I'm doubt whether I'm able to do so?

Sometimes I wonder whether we really need a maid? It's good to have a pair of helping hands but on the other hand we got to worry this and that. Very often we heard people complaining the electricity and water bill rise up so high after having a maid or numerous damaged household utensils after the maid "help" out,... and so on. But staying in such a big family which consists of elderly and young children, a maid is a bonus to have.

Maternity Clothes

Okay, it's official now. Today I finally wear back the maternity dress... I was surprised that I can't hide my tummy under baggy T-shirts and suddenly my belly feel so tight with any T-shirts. Well, what to expect, afterall I'm a pregnant lady. But... but... I'm just in 21 weeks... guess my belly (not the baby) grows bigger instead and I'm now at a whooping 70kg! Scary... better watch my weight carefully from now on. Two possible reasons:
1) I'm big built or the baby is big (unlikely)
2) I'm really putting on extra fat

Eventhough my weight gain is not so rapid compare to previously but the craving for fastfood really becomes a big disadvantage for my health and the reading of the scales. I really hope I can delay wearing those maternity clothes till the end of second trimester and still able to hang around with baggy shirts... but I was wrong. I'm not a pizza person but lately been thinking to have pizza for dinner or supper!!?? Gosh... what's wrong with my hormone?? Oh yes, due to the danger of placenta previa, I'm now taking progesterone prescribed by gynae... I wonder whether this is the cause of my swinging hormone???

All in all, I still feel my belly grows too fast than the baby inside. This is definitely not a good sign...

25 months old

It's been 2 months mummy never blog about En En's monthly development. Perhaps mummy is getting lazy and there's so much milestones En En already achieved, mainly on her vocab and communication skills with people. In other words, she's turning into a small talkative missy with high awareness of her surrounding.

Vital:

Height and weight seems not so important nowadays as long as we realized she's growing happily with good appetite.

Diet:

Still swallow porridge and we tried to give her rice or noodles but ended up it took 1 hour+ to finish one small bowl! She chooses not to chew her food when it's her mealtime but surprisingly she loves to eat meatball and harden-type biscuits!

Milk - 6-8oz now. Lately not so keen on Yakult anymore... am having headache what type of drinks to give her since she refuse plain water.

Vocab:

Too many and unable to keep track. We just taught her A-K for one week. She has great memory power...

Development:

1. She's generous with her kiss. She will leave a kiss on your cheek if you ask her to kiss you.

2. She loves to watch movie now... her favourite are HAPPY FEET whereby she imitates the feet of the little pengiun dancing; LADY & THE TRAMP I and II proves that she's a real dog lover; any movies or shows about WINNIE THE POOH & HIS FRIENDS which contributes to her growing stash of Pooh toys and outfits.

3. She is starting to pick on what to wear after bath. She will choose same colours group sometimes.

4. She dare not go out from the house on her own and if anyone of the family members out of her sight, she will scream for us and rush into the house. Clever girl... as we only told her once not to be outside alone and she remembers that all the time.

5. She is able to pedal her tricycle a few rounds now and she will gives you that super glowing smiles when she's moving on.

6. She will automatically bring the pillow from sofa to you whenever she sees anyone is going to sleep on the floor in the living hall. Well, that's time when we try to trick her for her afternoon nap, how sweet!

7. She loves to feed tablets of medicine/supplement to Ah Mah, mummy and anyone who's taking those tablets orally. Not sure why she enjoys to put those tablets into our mouth with her hands and she will never put those tablets into her mouth as she really hates to take medicine... haha!

8. She loves Pringles!!! This is the only junk food we offer to her when she refuse to take her medicine. She never request for more as she only took one small slice after she finished her medicine happily.

9. She's able to request for milk, tell us she doesn't want to eat "moi" (porridge), don't want to wear diaper and ask you to back off when she's changing.

JUST BURST INTO A LAUGHTER WITH TEARS WHEN EN EN CAME BY AFTER MUMMY ACCIDENTALLY KNOCKED THE HEAD ON THE CUPBOARD DOOR... YEAH, WAS BLOGGING WITH DADDY'S LAPTOP IN BEDROOM...

10. Whenever she sees us hurt ourselves or yelling painful... En En will come by and offer her help by saying, "Baby bang1 mang2 (means offers help)... bu2 yao4 pa2 (don't scratch)... tu2 yao4 (apply medicine)!" Then, she will use her finger to touch the affected area and pretending she's helping you to apply the medicine...

11. She is a very sensitive girl, she will cry if she sees the actor or actress crying in the movie or big and strong one bully small and helpless one. Guess this is found in her personality...

Scenario:

En En was playing happily with daddy and ignore mummy for a while. Daddy brought her up to the bedroom but went out to get something.
Then, mummy went into the room and below is the conversation.

En En : "Don't want mummy, want papa!"

Mummy: "Huh? What did you say? You don't want mummy?"

En En : "Don't want mummy!"

Mummy: "You dare to say don't want mummy, mummy beat your buttock! Want mummy or not?"

En En : " Want mummy! Want mummy! Mummy kiss kiss (baby - refer to herself)..."

Horrified Potty Training

Sometimes mummy hope that mummy can be awaken longer until En En goes to bed. En En got fever when mummy fall asleep AND when mummy forgot to put a diaper on her. Mummy is so lousy, yeah? Mummy hope this phase will go off quickly but fail to wake up at midnight to put her on potty doesn't really help to improve anything. Will she be tolerate to pee in potty while still in her dream?? We afraid she might scream her lung out by waking her up...

It's been a few times she caught a cold and fever after mummy discovered she was sleeping in her wet pyjamas and wet bedsheet. Is it true that a pregnant lady will be so sleepy all the while? Probably mummy is too easy to fall asleep, is all my fault! Wish that strong determination to stay up late will always be with mummy especially when it's the time En En refuse to go to the bed early. She only will sleep after 11pm 0r sometimes 12am. Just don't understand why En En prefer to do her big business late night right before bed?? Or maybe it's already her habit?

All these while, En En is doing very good with her potty training at daytime and outing. She can go diaperless when we are out but she just loves to trick us to bring her to the toilet whenever she feels like she wants to get out from the restaurant or go for a walk. Cheeky yeah... Only nighttime diapering problem that put mummy into a stressful condition since En En refuse to wear any diaper before she sleeps. Therefore, we have no choice to put the diaper on her after she doze off.

Mummy prays that mummy is able to stay awake everynight or perhaps able to wait till En En sleeps in order to put a diaper on her... *Sigh*

Not Again!

Yesterday was really a horrified and scary day. There was blood showing and it's quite shocking when I saw it, it's not just staining. I need to wear panty liner and luckily it's not either heavy flow but there's some blood flakes-like stuff coming out... Without any delay, daddy rushed mummy to hospital but unfortunately need to wait for 45 minutes as the gynea was away for some issues.

There are no other symptoms besides the blood showing and this made mummy think of last time when preggie with En En. It's almost during this time started to have blood showing till the pregnancy was about 7 months. Placenta previa is the term I learned from my last pregnancy.

Met the gynea eventually and was told that it's a threatening abortion! Luckily baby is growing well and nothing happened to the baby. Through the scan, the placenta is really located lower in the uterus. So, most probably it is the same case like previously. Therefore, no long distance travelling (we planned to go to KL this Thursday but got to cancel the trip), no lifting heavy items including carrying En En who stick to mummy so much lately. When I was working during past pregnancy, I was forced to take 1 month medical leave in order to stay at home to rest!

But still... unsure about the gender of the baby yet and it's now 19 weeks old...

Pregnancy Indulgence?

Don't worry, mummy only took the chocolate sundae, the rest belongs to daddy...LOL!

This pregnancy is abit different if compare with previously. Food with stronger taste will be the preferred one. Moreover, mummy longs to eat fast food and drink coffee!!! Yes, those are not healthy food but the feeling of wanting to get the fried chicken from KFC or the McD's burger and french fries is so greater than ever! Mummy even eyes for Pringles and those junk potatoes chips... very tempting, huh? This is so weird as always be a health concious person, those are the banned food for mummy even when not pregnant. When having E nEn last time, definitely no fast food and coffee throughout the pregnancy... but this time... why become so weak towards the temptation of unhealthy food ??

Lots of self disciplin and control need to be carry out and by thinking to put on extra kilos of pregnancy weight (from previous experience) this is surely another terrible weight loss struggle later on... But, occassionally go for those indulgence should be still alright, isn't it? I think I do loss some determination to say no... *sigh*

Happy Birthday to our dear Sweetheart!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is a special day, would specially wish my mum a Happy Mother's Day even she doesn't read my blog (but my younger sis does... :P .. hehe...).

She came over yesterday from Alor Setar to Penang to show and cook the chicken essence for me! She even brought the kampung chicken and the cooking pot which I don't have to demonstrate for me... How nice and thank you so much Mama! Ever since En En joined the family then only I realized it's so difficult to be a mother and only then I understand and appreciate whatever a mother can give to her child. Mom is always the best, don't you agree?

A special dedication to all mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day to you too!

New Progress - Adjectives

Lately, En En uses lots of adjectives in her daily conversation with us. She is able to differentiate and says between:

- big & small

- far & near

- black & white

- smelly & no smell

- mum-mum (means hungry) & bao bao (stomach full)

- pain & itchy (She loves to use this in "Buttock pain" vs "Buttock itchy".... LOL!)

- beautiful & not beautiful

Some conversations are like these (well, she spaeaks in Mandarin):-

En En:"Dog papa big big, dog baby small small."

En En:" Dog hei-hei (black in colour), pah-pah (scare...); Dog bai-bai (white in colour), mei mei (beautiful)."

When En En passed wind *cheeky grin* we were wondering and said whether it's smelly or not, En En straight away relied:"Mei chou! means No Smell!!!"

Knitting works - On hold at the moment

A baby cotton vest - mistake in stitching but never have the chance to correct it yet. This is also the first knitting project with different patterns involved in the work... quite interesting and tiring to do the counting of different stitches.

This is a wool longies (long pants) for infant. Achieve the length but not even the shape yet and got to mix with yarn in different colours as this original colour is not enough for a longies...

Well, let's see how long it takes to complete them both.

What about No.2?

Hmm... Mummy really wonder whether it's common that less attention will be given to the following child compare to the eldest one?

Mummy went to visit gynea today with daddy (who's so eager to find out the gender of the baby), eveything is fine... baby is growing well. Throughout the whole scanning process, the little baby inside the womb just moving and turning non-stop. Super active compare to En En but too bad mummy still can't feel anything from the tummy. Maybe the abs fat is thick... LOL! We are so gald to see the baby is healthy and active even it's now officially turned 16 weeks. Well, daddy said maybe the baby is protesting since mummy seldom talk to the baby and care less compare to when preggie with En En. How not to feel guilty but having a toddler already like having bad hair days almost daily... really and seriously need to relax and calm myself to talk nicely to No.2. So unfair, huh?

I read from other expecting mummies' blog about their feeling or dilemma towards the baby inside the womb compare to the firstborn. Now, I really feel that I'm in the same boat too. Baby En En

OK... not sure this is good or bad but at least when we ask En En what's the name of mummy, or papa... she's able to tell in not so accurate pronunciation. But at least we know who she's calling.

When we ask En En: "What is your name?"

En En replied: "BABY!!!" or sometimes "Baby En!"

When we ask En En: "Is baby inside mummy's tummy?"

En En nodded her head and pointed to herself saying: " Baby is here!"

Are you a Beauty?

Many young ladies nowadays wish to become singer or actress through participating in talent contest, cat-walk competition or maybe beauty pageant. Even magazines will have Beauty Queen or Miss XXX of the year held annually. The one I remember is our local CLEO which will select the Most Eligible Bachelor of the Year! I'm not sure whether this event still available since I stop reading CLEO when I turned 25. So, I'm aging now...

Each year, there will be many new faces or look of the year appear. They are beautiful, handsome, young, energetic, tall, and... many more. Everyone who had seen En En will tell me I have a model look-alike daughter, very beautiful and smart. She will have bright future when she grows up. Well, in my opinion, I don't really encourage my children to live under the limelight or become a model. Our cultures and believes is very different and not every parent can accept the child having a life without privacy, well sort of exposure to the public. At least I know I'm one of them. There are parent who love the kids to be the headlines of the press or superstar... maybe can pay a visit to http://www.lookoftheyear.com. Hopefully you can find some information there.



Anyway, I still believe beauty is not everything. Even handicapped children can have bright future if given proper guide. Therefore, being a parent is a challenging task and now I realized why my parent refuse me and my sisters to take part in any beauty contest previously.

Relieved moments...

Guess what! So many bloggers mama told me Bloggerwave never paid us if we take the opportunity but to my surprise... I was paid last few days! My post was published 2 months ago... so, don't give up yet!

Next, the wool longies that I ordered from US also arrived safely (finally!). I was waiting for more than 2 months which I nearly give up and concluded that it got lost during transit somewhere in the Pacific Ocean... LOL! This one is meant for En En but it looks very big and long on her... I'm doubt whether she still wants to wear wool pants?

Oh yes, remember I said I was having the credit card problem to purchase online? Well, I managed to place order at last and the knitting yarns arrived at my doorstep yesterday. Yes, can start my knitting projects anytime now...

Busy... busy...

It's not easy to be a home-maker... I can't believe it can be so busy... 24 hours really is too little for a mother who wears so many hats! Alright, no maid at home for 2 weeks and no toddler at home for 2 weeks as well. But, you think mummy has time to do knitting or favourite activities? NO!!!

Miss knitting and scrapbooking but this is not the time yet. Wake up almost 6am in the morning and start cleaning the living hall, kitchen, prepare for breakfast even it's a quick one. Luckily I only do laundry every alternate day or at night... then go to wet market every alternate day. PIL told me it's not fresh to buy vegetable for a week's consumption, which I think it's acceptable. Then, after that brunch (you know, pregnant mama tends to eat more when the portion size is smaller too), time for lunch preparation.

Today, mummy needs to cook ABC soup, sweet and sour pork, spicy fried fish with lime juice and perhaps long bean with egg? Hmm... got to go check the fridge for the ingredient now... Ciao!

Online Shopping Craze!

Ever since I was introduced into the blogsphere, I discovered more and more e-stores and the convenience to purchase online. Well, the first online product I bought was a modern cloth diaper! Everyone around me gave me a strange stare as how can you trust online store? Well, if you never try, you will never know.

I'm in love with the process of buying online now and everytime when I browse at the e-store... well, mostly they are baby items and I really can't wait to fill the shopping cart as much as I can. Even I don't really buy in the end... I think I'm having some crazy imagination thinking that I'm going to get the item from the merchant soon. LOL!

Oh well, I do hope that my credit card will be able to use as I really need to purchase some knitting yarn from overseas for my knitting project. I just don't understand why my credit card is refused when I'm preparing to make online payment. When I look at the shopping cart that I filled up with wool yarns, I feel so sad that I can't proceed the transaction of purchasing. Probably I need to visit the bank tomorrow to get some clarification.

What Mummy is doing right now?

Learn to cook! It's not easy to have good tastebud family members yeah... Every little spices or slightly different cooking method will totally alter the taste and originality of the dish... Need to learn from the beginning as never posses any good talent in cooking.

MIL is going to Shanghai tomorrow and I'll be the cook for 2 weeks. Not sure whether I can cook for the family even En En is now in Alor Setar, a good reason to cook without a toddler disturbing. Hopefully no need to end up ta-pau from outside... :P

As for this pregnancy, am not having good appetite. I still can eat but not in big portion and can't live without hot, spicy and sour. Not sure why the tastebud change so drastically even normal stir-fry vegetables which was my favourite is so difficult to swallow without sambal chillies! So, Malay and Indian recipes book is the one that gets referring the most. Will off to prepare sambal ikan bilis in a day or two... *yummy yummy* Only one things that bother me... tiny bloody vessel discharge but not everyday. Some days even got pinkish red discharge, gynea said it's fine but am still not sure why this happen to both of my pregnancies.

On the other hand, need to start helping daddy to do his checking & recording on monthly expenses (to make sure whether he got some pocket money for mummy or not... hehe...) and lots of household chores to be done since the maid is not here at the moment. Oh... not forgetting knitting too... hopefully able to finish most of them before En En comes back to "interrupt the progress"... LOL!

Huh? Not that bus...

En En loves Winnie the Pooh so much and she won't miss the series from Astro PHDC every morning at 10a.m. So, one night before bed mummy had some coversation with En En about Winnie the Pooh... & his friends.

Mummy: What's this furry bear name? *pointing to her Pooh plush toy*
En En : Ah Pooh!
Mummy: His friends' name? *point to Tigger, Piglet, Baby Roo, Eyore in the book*
En En : (told mummy one by one) Tigger... Pigket ... Baby Roo... Eeyorr...
Mummy: There's one Jie Jie name Darby too. She has a dog, right?
En En : *Nodded her head*
Mummy: What's the name of the dog?
En En : *speechless*
Mummy: It's call Buster! Say "Bus-ter"...
En En : *pause for a while* Bus... bus... lorry...
Mummy: No... it's "Bus-ter"...
En En : Bus... car??!!
Mummy: * rolled eyes*

She knows how to "dot"!

En En loves to draw and write with a highlighter... maybe the colour is more striking? When mummy said: " Draw dot-dot on the paper..." She came out something like this:

Mozzies Attack!

How sad to look at En En's legs... she will keep on scratching those area even when they are healing. As a result, she has lots of scars from the "kiss of the mozzie". It started before CNY but till today those old and new scars keeps on appearing from time to time... so worry that her skin is extremely sensitive. What we need to do now is how to prevent her from the bite? Insect repellant is not working on her as she refuse to let us put on and those are chemicals-made product... good meh?

Any good solution to get rid of mozzies instead of spraying, and using other commercials method? Is there any natural approach? Daddy loves to use the electrical mozzie racquet to electro-shock them... Any more ideas?

A Quick Update...

En En is going to become big sister... Yeah, mummy is 11 weeks pregnant with no signs of morning sickness and nausea. Thought will have extremely good appetite like previously but to my surprise... it's not that way. Not feeling like eating alot but nibble here and there still happen as hunger pangs hit quite frequently.

Gained 25kg for my last pregnancy due to craving of carbohydrate food and doctor advised :"If possible don't let yourself gain more than 10kg for this time..." possible??? The body fat still carry the extra 6kg from previous pregnancy and most probably this 6kg already included as pregnancy weight gain. Luckily no special craving so far... and even the tastier food that mummy longs to seems not even attractive anymore. Hormone is doing the job here...

En En is not clingy at all and there's no sign of pregnancy until the period stop visiting 2 months ago. That's how it started the wondering or guessing game...

Gynea informed that I had high blood pressure on the last visit. Therefore, shall monitor the reading for a week. Hopefully it's because of late night sleeping... Looks like blogging have to give its way by hook or by crook... What about blog for money?? I leave it for quite some times now... Alright, time to get up to the bed!

This is how she grow out from Night Feeding??

It's been almost 2 weeks En En refuse to take her milk in the midnight or early morning while she is sleeping. Before this, she just drank all the milk I made for her in the wee hours and slept soundly throught the night. Now... no more, even it was 8-9 hours after her last feed. Not even single drop of water as well.

En En will toss and cry... then scream till everyone in the house awaken at 3 or 4am! Terrible part is her eyes were still shut and she started to hit us if we tried to touch her or attempt to carry her to sooth her or to bring her to the bouncer. The pooh bear which was her sleep time companion also no longer in use as she simply throw away it after we bring it to her. She's still crying and screaming as if she's having a nightmare! She is throwing tantrum even in the sleep!!!

One strange ... or maybe she purposely did this, when Ah Mah came over En En will stop crying and requested Ah Mah to swing her in the bouncer. What's the problem here? It seems to us she is purposely cry for Ah Mah to come for her, isn't it? Still she doesn't want to have her milk even after she was awaken... I really have no idea how to let her get over this "special request" when she grow older...

Learning the naming of underwear

Ever since mummy started training En En to go to toilet and teach her about panties and bra, En En master them very well. She was puzzled whenever she see us topless when changing clothes and always show us the shy shy action by stroking her second finger a few times on her cheeks.

She is very happy when she knows that she can wear panties if she use the potty and toilet to wee wee. Since then, she can differentiate panties and pants very well.

Just now she wet her pants and avoiding mummy to change her into a new pair of pants and ran to the living hall. Daddy straight away told her so shy showing off her butt!

En En saw daddy was topless sitting in the living hall watching TV and she said: "Papa, liu liu (shy shy)!" (Meaning you don't need to tell me as you are not wearing anything on top of the body too!)

So, mummy asked En En: "Papa doesn't wear... what?"

Without hesitation, En En replied: "Bra!" *pengsan*

Terrible Feeding Time!

En En won't cooperate whenever it's her meal time. Not only we need to feed her but also she will ask to switch on the TV to eat and watch and sometimes when it's not her favourite TV programme, she needs to play with toys in order for us to be able to feed her successfully. The same thing happens even when she's super hungry! Mummy just can't understand why she's such a difficult eater. She is not refusing her food but it's her habit to ask to be served like that and she doesn't think that she's wrong with her habit!!!

Every morning, luckily we have Astro and we will switch to channel 613 - PHDC. En En's favourite shows are "Thomas & Friens", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" , "My friends Tigger & Pooh" and "Little Einstein". So, if she wakes up around 8.30am till 10.00am... we will be safe as these are the golden times for her breakfast with TV! Anyway, she doesn't glue to TV for so long but she doesn't allow anyone to switch channel even she's was upstairs or in the kitchen. Listening to the show or the theme songs are what she does best! She can tell us exactly which of her favourite show is showing without watching the TV. But, she's just too possessive!!! Ah Kong is not very happy as En En is the one who "conquered" the TV for the most of the time even she's not watching it... how terrible this little monster is... arrgh!!!

Hopefully, she can learn to enjoy food without TV one day...

Who says SAHM got lots of free time?

Mummy really can't agree with this since there's no time left to blog compare to before! Besides don't have very own laptop, initially mummy planned to update the blog at night after daddy comes back from work... but serving and entertaining the little one already made mummy long for the bed at night and no more mood to blog. Not even blog hop... so bloggers, very sorry that I seldom able to visit your blog... :( Therfore, I wonder how others SAHM able to cook and take care of the family? This is really a toughest job in the world and I think if motherhood is a profession, it must be categorized into a very high paid job!

Still need to squeeze time for learning to cook besides being the slave for En En, this little girl doesn't seems prefer mummy's company all the time. She will screams: "Mummy, go away!!!" when she wants to play with kakak or Ah Mah. There's really nothing much changes that she will clings to me more after I stay at home with her... Is there something wrong with me? Am I not loving and caring enough as a mother? Just feel miserable when others accuse that I'm not a good mother for my gal...

En En is 22 months old!

Another 2 months into Terrible Two phase!!! En En is a little radio at home. She talks alot and able to say 4-6 words at once now. She even talks to herself when we (the adults) are having discussion or a conversation. There are times whereby she speaks her own language and none of us can understand what she's trying to tell... LOL!

Vital:

Height and Weight are not sure as mummy never measure since 2 months ago.

Diet:

Main meal still porridge but this time since mummy at home, mummy will just chop whatever vegetables, meat, fish or fry egg and serve together with soup. En En loves soup very very much!

Breakfast is always oatmeal. Lately, mummy introduced her sweet oatmeal with very finely chopped fruits and prune or raisin or salty oatmeal chopped with either one of cabbage, broccoli, egg, cooked minced pork. Sometimes mix them together but never exceed 3 types at once.

Po po even said the way En En eat is like the snake, she will just swallow whatever feed into her mouth. She can't even tolerate any big piece of meat, vegetable and even rice! She will spit them out... still need time to train her in appreciating food.

Takes 6-7oz milk 2-3 times per day. Still need night feeding and thus a heavywetter toddler.

Development:

1) Potty / Toilet-train

Mummy and Po Po started to train En En to do her small business in the toilet since last week. Since En En refuse the potty, we encourage her to go to the toilet in specific time interval. En En will never tell us when she wants to pee but she never reject going to the toilet as she loves to let mummy pour water (to flush off) on the floor... Oh, we did that in the bathroom so that she won't be scared by "Mummy/Ah Mah's Potty" (refers to the toilet seat which looks so big to her). Initially En En was so excited to be in the bathroom and forgot to squat down to pee but lately she does it very well.

Therefore mummy must also remember to bring En En to pee in the toilet every 45 minutes - 1 hours. Obviuosly, En En knows how to control her bladder and she's now diaperless in daytime if she's not napping. Well, of course accident does happen but mummy think it's alright not to use any training pants as this will send a signal to her that her pants and the floor will be all wet if she is not peeing in the toilet. We observe her this 2 days and there will be small action of hers that indicate she's going to pee. We use that as a signal that it's time to bring her to the toilet. In other words, we are using Elimination Communication method to train her.

It's not so sucessful to train her to sit on potty for her big business due to her fear of previous constipation experience. We take it slowly to encourage her to sit longer on the potty to complete her bowel movement. We see some improvement these few days after mummy able to bribe her with cornflakes or some household toys and she did sit on the potty for quite some times. Otherwise, we will find she did her bowel movement in the diaper or straight on the floor if she's just wearing pants. *fainted* Anyway, mummy see this as the process of the training and doesn't really bother about the after cleaning job. We just hope that she will cooperate with us to accept back the potty... LOL!

2) Sleeping habits

30 minutes - max 3 hours napping for daytime.

Sleeping at night is always the issue as she will become more energetic when we are in the bedroom. She will request to play with her toys, Ah Mah or mummy to tell her story repeatedly, steps on daddy's back (good for daddy for this free massage), jump up and down from the bed and don't worry as the bed is the lower Japanese type. Walk around the room until she thinks it's enough... is it time to introduce cane??

Unless she is very tired, otherwise she will request us to swing her when she's in the bouncer. Mummy hope she will grow bigger than the bouncer soon... *evil grin*

3) Vocab

En En is able to communicate very well with us. She picks up new words rather fast, probably after hearing it once or twice.

En En says...

at the traffic light: "Green go!" "Red-top!" (It's Red, Stop!)

at the playground: "Baby wan2 (means play in Mandarin) slide!"

point at the door: "Po Po, kuai4 dian3 lai2!" (means Po Po come here faster!)

and so many more...

4) En En is able to put on and off her sandals very well now. No more wrong sides as she just know wearing the opposite sides of the sandals will make her feet uncomfortable.

5) Loves to soak in the water when bathing and she is able to apply and rub body shampoo on her armpit, buttock and body. Mummy uses the water pail for her to sit in after her shower since the water in the bathtub already becomes very shallow on her.

6) Walk up and down the staircase very confident now sometimes even not holding the staircase's handle for 1 or 2 steps.

7) She feels ashamed if naked in front of other people and she will grab pillow or bolster or any piece of cloths to cover the area she refuse others to see.

8) En En screams at us when we don't pay attention to her or when she was calling us but we didn't hear. Her voice is so high pitch!

Stress over those who don't support breastfeeding

This conversation happened some times ago between MIL and one of a female relative, let's call her "F-R". They were talking about En En's constipation problem.

MIL: En En has very serious constipation, I suspect it's the formula milk being too heaty for her.

F-R : Probably... maybe can change her another type of formula milk. Last time my children all took normal formula milk and they are not heaty.

MIL: True... when En En was a baby, we gave her Enfalac, not suitable. Then changed to Similac.. seems alright and when she grew older we change to Snow, the old trusted brand. We let her take Gain Plus after 1 year old and she has terrible constipation. Then change again to Nespray now and it seems better. Last time I gave my boy S26 and Dumex.

F-R: Oh yes... last time we only have Nespray, KLIM, Dumex,... this type of formula milk. More suitable to toddler, the new brands all has lots of additional ingredients that made the milk more heaty.

Mummy: Breast milk is the best...

MIL & F-R: Silence...

Did I say something wrong??? Looks like they either don't support breastmilk or they have no knowledge about breastmilk and how breastfeeding had making a come back! Feel so stress and worry as there's none of both family members breastfeed successfully and the most they will talk and discuss about is formula milk! I failed once and I hope I can bf successfully for the next baby... living in such environment please tell me how to twist my mind and shall I twist their mind?? My MIL even once told me it's no good to bf the baby if mummy is sick. So better don't bf. I was so naive and believed on what she said and touch wood I never sick from day 1 I pregnant with En En till she's 15 months old!

Seriously, am looking for breastfeeding support!!!

Missing in action!

Mummy and En En currently spending a week time in Alor Setar... therefore limited Internet access and hence this blog will be abandoned for sometimes... but interesting happening with En En will be updated soon... stay tune!!!

By the way, it's really a tough job to become a stay at home mum... now I miss working life... hahahah! Probably motherhood is a challenge in life, the meaning is much more than money if to compare... Mummy is having a hard time to frame my overly pampered girl (from her grandparents) as she has such a "strong" characteristics.

Anyway, let's enjoy the short holidays first! :)

This is a gift from a scrapper friends from Brunei - Jasmine and I delayed till today to thank her for her creative work using En En's photo. Thanks alot Jasmine... this is really a surprise!

Completed this for a challenge and I think I have to scrap more to get back my scrapping mood... :)

Chinese New Year 2008 - Part 2

Let's showcast En En in fashion during CNY...

This is En En with her tricycle in Gong Gong's house. That was the third day of CNY when we went back Alor Setar. She was having fun by putting all the mandarins on the table found at living hall into the basket of her tricycle and told us she's bringing all the "Orange Papa, Mama, Gong Gong, Kor Kor" go kai-kai with her "bai-see-kel"...

En En was so delighted when she found the smallest mandarin (Honey lokam) from the basket and called it "Orange baby"! She's overjoy to play with orange baby.

Did I mention En En loves lighting? We didn't play any fire crackers but this light deco at Gong Gong's house really caught her attention. Luckily she didn't pull it down but just a soft touching...

She couldn't stop transferring the biscuits in and out from the container... then put some into her mouth and forced us to open our mouth in order to put in ours too! Mummy hope she will grow up to be one helpful girl one day... :) Everyone love Chinese New Year and so does En En as she has so many outings during this festive season. In fact, who doesn't?
