Healy passed me this tag for quite some times already and I nearly forgot to do! I think I got to finish it by hook or by crook...

1. I met my hubby online and since then we have never ending conversations. We click so well and we share alot of interests... read me? A lot of different interests! So, it's not neessary to have things in common to start a topic.

2. I have 3 blogs. One for parenting life (you are here!!!), one for my passion about cloth diapering and another one is addicted to scrapbooking (yes, paper scrapbooking!)

3. Learning about the chemical terms and ingredients for skin care produts and cosmetics is another hobby of mine. We have the choice to be a knowledgeable and wiser consumer. Read up ladies!

4. I pick up crochet because I wish to make my own pretty crocheted dinner bag and learn to knit because I need to use wool cover for the modern fitted nappy. It's another way to save up money if you are able to make you own! Maybe will try sewing in another years to come.

5. I work fulltime but I don't have a career, I just have a job to sustain myself financially. Just feel wasted for what I had learned from uni life and I strongly believe it is not necessary to have a degree or master cert to be a sucessful person in life. Hubby is my proud real life example.

6. I am trying to recycle more from house. I wish to bring the awareness and educate my family members no matter they will practise or not. Everyone deserve to be aware about the latest issues about our planet.

7. I like animals particularly dogs and cats but cannot have my own since hubby is against the idea. Perhaps one day after I retire I could help in WWF! Note: Not World Wrestling Federation, this time is World Wildlife Federation!

Butterfly

We teach En En about butterfly when she's still a crawling baby. Right now, she loves butterfly. When mummy was doing scrapbooking one day and thought of using butterfly in the layout. En En was sleeping but woke up when mummy was working halfway for the layout.

As usual, this little one is curious about what mummy is doing with all her pretty photos and she always asked me to carry her up and see what's mummy's creation (not really la... to disturb me actually). Mummy realised En En loves colourful papers and stuffs so mummy use the craft knife and cut out 2 paper butterflies shape and asked En En what is it? Without hesitation En En replied: " Fly, fly!"

Then mummy asked En En to show everyone what she had in her hand so that she can get busy for a while while mummy able to quickly finished off the layout before she came and disturb next round.

En En saw real butterflies before in mummy's hometown and we plan to bring her visit the Butterfly Farm in Penang. Anyway, the entrance fee at the moment is RM10 per person (maybe higher in future, who knows?) and daddy said wait till En En abit older then we can go together.

Wrestle Mania!

En En loves to watch wrestling show... trust me! She's just like her Ah Kong and daddy who can watch the show till forgot to eat and sleep! Mummy also know a few famous wrestler from the wrestling show such as WWF (World Wrestling Federation) and TNA after watching with them. :P

She used the king size bed as her wrestling ring and we surrounded the bed with bolsters and pillows. Her wrestle partners? Sure will be all her pooh bears and other plush toys. She was having a great time in the ring till she noticed that we were recording down her movements. The video clip is abit long but it's funny to look at her. She's such a cute little one and we hope she's not developing into another violent baby.

More Pacifier

We bought any brand of the pacifier for En En and mainly last only for 1 week or 10 days. If mummy is not mistaken, En En had almost 8 pacifier since 4 months old (yes... mummy can't wait to wean you off coz you are too addicted!!!) excluding the one that she's having now.

Since she has teeth, this is what happen to those "shorter-life" paci...





The longer life span of pacifier in market... so far tested and it got to be Avent.

We tried not to give her pacifier and even gave her the spoilt one but she's still enjoying sucking while we are worrying that she might swallow the silicone which already torn. So, when we don't offer her she sucks her finger till like this. Any tips from mummies or daddies?

It's got to be 18! The year I spent for practising Wushu in preparation for the SEA Games. It was such a fun experience to lived abroad only for more practise and learning from the expert China coaches. That whole year I only concentrated to practising and my daily routine was like eat, sleep, practise, rest and more practise! I even considered to become a professional wushu exponent and further my study about sports. Nevertheless, that was the year I had the fittest body and the best health!

1) Diaper Free by Ingrid Bauer

2) Green Parenting from a UK publisher

when I visited Borders this afternoon. Diaper Free? This is very interesting, I can imagine baby's bum exposed when crawling... very cute... haha! Green Parenting is a book covers all aspects living as a parent in raising your child which includes household item, clothing, food, toys... and many more but I don't have the time to flip through in details.

Browsed online and.... BINGO! I found Diaper Free & Green Parenting too! Another interesting one that I'm going to read will be Nappy Free Baby! This is the term - Elimination Communication that perhaps some parent nowadays still practise and definitely the method my parent used to potty trained us when disposable diapers was still in the invention period!

Breastfeeding babies has lesser output?

Am referring to fully bf babies... especially calling mummies who has experience on one child was on formula milk and another was on breast milk (bm). Is there really a difference that formula feed babies are mostly heavywetter?? All I know is bf babies have very runny poo poo.

When I was trying so hard to get En En latched on the earlier days but noticed her wetting is so little. PIL and my parent were stressing me to give her formula and water. (Claimed that En En never get enough liquid) I was leaking that time and I don't think I have milk production problem. The problem is I didn't consistently bf her after introduced her the formula milk and I thought I could changed her back to the b**bies but it never susceed.

Since then, she's having big volume of output till we label her as one heavywetter baby. What about infant on bm vs toddler on bm? Are they still not any heavywetter? Please share with me your experience.

Immunization: Infant & Toddler

Mummy is not very responsible as mummy never wants to bother whether it's time to get En En for vaccination. I'm just so lousy, isn't it? All this while mummy just follow the immunization schedule in En En's pink book from the hospital she was borned and sorry to say up till today En En still never get her chicken pox vaccination yet.

Ok... ok... many mummies are wondering and asking why is it so... it's mummy's fault coz mummy think it's alright since En En never go to any day care center or mix around with other kids. So it's not really that bad if mummy delay the shot. One more thing is mummy thinks the more advanced that country the more weaken their natural immune system... so that's why they have so many types of vacccinations introduced. Mummy just don't know why having this weird mindset but it's actually true if compare children from India or Philipines (normally the developing countries) they are more strong even without proper or luxury medical aids and facilities. But when we turn to developed countries, it is where we found most children have higher risk of getting allergies, many more civilization diseases... this and that. Or maybe this is just merely mummy's thought?? Again it feels bad to see our little one suffer from fever, get cranky, moody and no appetite to eat after the jab! It just doesn't feel good :(

We do have very good medical facilities be it in private or government hospital. Mummy visited government hospital when preggie with En En because mummy had placenta previa according to gynea. But thank God En En was delivered full termed in a private hospital. After En En turned 6 months old, all her vaccinations were done at the government hospital.

Mummy just read up some immunizations articles from Baby Center and think there are some good reasons to get immuned rather than having that weird mindset to get jab!

There is really a great demand from parents and we have 10 malaysian based cloth diaper e-stores located in north, south and east of Malaysia! Suddenly mummies turned to be WAHM and modern cloth diaper is really a Hot Cakes in Malaysia!!!

Ever since with En En in my life, it's so colourful and grateful. Seeing that she is growing and learning everyday really made me a proud person. At least I can tell the world that there's someone call me "Ma~mie"!

18 Months = 1.5 year old

It's hard to believe that my baby is 1.5 year old today! She grows taller and wiser (naughtier) everyday. En En is very good in reading people's facial expression... she knows when to behave and when to go crazy with us. She's also one emotional baby, she will shed tears when she sees a very sad incident from the TV or drama!

En En went for her measles & polio jab today and of course she screamed and cried!

Vital:

Height : 81cm

Weight: 11kg

Teeth : This time mummy remember to record down, 8+4+4

Dietary Intake:

She still take oatmeal with meat or fruits in the morning. Alternate day will take 1 kampung (farm?) egg. Porridge for lunch and dinner. Love soups and fish.

She rejects totally on plain water and will compromise if the water has different colours other than tranparent colour. Milk intake about 6-7oz. Anyway, if we allow her to play the water using spoon in a cup then she will just open her mouth and swallow plain water that we feed her *roll eyes*

She is not keen on biscuit nowadays as she will play with the biscuit after a few bites.

Words that she master lately:

star - she's able to tell us "star" when she see the star in her book

ta4 ta4 - in mandarin means riding bicycle, guess she's referring to bicycle since Gong Gong just get her a new bicycle

bu1 yao4 - don't want in mandarin

yao4 - means want in mandarin

ge1 - means song in mandarin, she will says this when she wants us to play her the music VCD or when she saw someone's singing.

you3 - means got/have in mandarin

mei2 you3 - means no more/doesn't have in mandarin

So, right now we are able to communicate more with her as she already manage to express herself verbally.


Development:

1) En En is able to run and jump very steady now.

2) She is able to throw her plush toy up, not far away.

3) She is able to tell when she is hungry and will ask for "mum mum".

4) Interested in using the broom to sweep the floor and she's learning to use it happily.

5) Able to walk up and down from the staircase with the help of the staircase handle.

6) When we asked her where is the guitar, she will bring us the badminton racquet. Looks similiar yeah... LOL!

7) Able to recognise very quickly on different types of animals when we show her the animals picture such as bird, cat, bear, elephant, fish, lion, duck, zebra, tiger, deer, monkey, kangaroo,...

8) When we say exercise, En En will starts jumping and stretching her hands up and down.

9) Lately, love to watch The Sound of Music movie especially loves to watch the children running, playing and singing. She understands funny scene as she will laugh out loud for it.

10) Last but not least, she weaned herself off from bouncer and able to sleep on her own when she gets quiet for a few minutes.

Goodbye to Bouncer

En En was introduced to bouncer when she was very young. She get used to people to swing her into dreamland. Sometimes we got to swing the bouncer for 30-60 minutes in order to make her sleep! We can't wait to wean her off her attachement to the bouncer for her sleep and nap. That's the reason why she can't leave the house or go vacation with us since we have to carry the bouncer along. The bouncer we have is very big and En En still fit in when she is 15 months old. It is a partly custom-made bouncer and was passed down from SIL who used it for her 2 daughters.

Unfortunately, once En En grows taller the bouncer become so uncomfortable to sleep in. En En loves to jump instead of sleep on the bouncer if she has something to hold besides the bouncer. *roll eyes*

Lately, she refused to sleep in the bouncer and we are happy that she, in fact is able to sleep on her own without anyone rocking, swinging, singing or story-telling to her! She weaned herself off and we are so proud of her. So, big girl solve her own matters!

Conflicting mind towards paid post

Bloggers nowadays write paid post. I also wish to write on products review and get paid by the company. This is the norm today and everyone is so happy that they earn from blogging, I put it in simple words: Earn money while doing things that like you like such as blogging. So simple? Yes, sounds so tempted and easy, I'll have to admit writing paid post is a new way to get some pocket money. Yes, I'm tempted so sweet talk me into writing ppp... :P

My initial intention to have a blog is to keep my journal and to be frank, I do have a diary when I was a teenager. I just found 2 of my diaries from home and reading back what I wrote is so much fun and interesting. I stopped to write on diary when I further my study in college and university. Then, I was amazed with a blog's capabilities and that's why I start to write blog so that I can keep the memory in words or pictures. (Well, I'm quite a forgetful person, you know...)

There are a few things that I worry if I ever start to write paid post: spam and many other hidden technical issues which I don't know or clueless with. I wish to keep my blog as clean as possible like now (I think it's impossible once the traffic is getting heavy). All the expert bloggers out there, please share with me how do you overcome the spam problem and your most terrible experience with paid post?

To be frank, I quite like the way Mybabybay, Shoppingmum and GiddyTiger present their paid post in a new site. That's means more blogs to handle *fainted*

Lost & Found!

Yippee... yes, the 3-diamonds pendant was found! Not in the house but in the bank's safe. MIL and DH never gave up and tried their luck to search through most suspicious places. Since when I kept in the safe? I really have no idea and I got my lesson in a real terrible way.

Baby Doggie Bagpack

This is a free gift from daddy. We all know that En En loves dog. Daddy won it from the arcade games from a shopping mall. Yeah... daddy is still a big kid and what mummy interested is En En's reaction when she saw the doggie bag. She was screaming out loud!!!

Look at this little girl. She was so happy and busy checking on the dog. Too bad her passion for the doggie bag only last for 2 days and she still prefer her little Pooh bear for all times. Guess this doggie back pack has nothing to attract En En as it can't move or bark!

Happy Blogging Wish

I lost my diamond pendant

It's a 3-diamonds pendant! Not really big diomands but got sentimental value. It disappeared together with my white gold necklace which I bought on my own! I was searching it high and low since... before En En was borned. Well, being a forgetful person (and not so well in organising stuff compare to daddy) , for most of the things that got missing they are hardly to find back. I'm miserable, and wonder where did I put them?

Last night I did a mini spring clean in the bedroom and even clean all the cabinets and drawers, still no miracle... but I found 200 bucks in my jewelry box. See, this is me! Last time I found some 50 bucks from books as bookmark which I already forgotten when I slided them in between the pages. Basically for my case, when I'm really looking for that item in a rush or panic situation, I couldn't find any. Mostly I can found back accidentally. I feel bad about losing this 3-diamonds pendant since 2 years ago and I started to suspect this one might be a real missing.

I guess it's really gone missing now. Daddy was very upset about this, the 3-diamonds pendant is a gift from him. I feel so bad too as being a "tai tou har" (means forgetful)... feel so sorry to him as I failed to keep my precious stone. The sad (and surprised) part daddy said is we haven't take a picture on the pendant to keep for memory.

Mission No.1: Mummy got to learn to be more organized from daddy
Mission No.2: Snap pictures of whatever precious pieces that we have for keepsake!
Mission No.3: Might do scrapbook on them too...

When En En is away in Alor Setar...

En En currently staying with po po (mummy's mom) for 1 week already. We will bring her back this coming weekend.

So, basically, when En En is away from Alor Setar, mummy:
- Wash clothes
- Iron clothes
- Clean the toilet
- Wash dishes everyday
- Wash car
- Mop the floor
- Clean the furniture
- Do some cooking

Basically become a temporarily maid at home because kakak followed En En to Alor Setar. En En is really the little princess that need both sides' grandma to pay full attention for her. Thereofre, must get kakak to take over those normal household chores.

On top of that, mummy got some time to read on cooking & yoga books, do knitting (yes, more knitting for practise), scrapbooking which had been abadon for months! Yay....!!! Who said mummy will be free when baby is not around??

Mummy snapped this pic right after En En woke up one morning before mummy changed her from her pyjamas. Well, ok mummy just pulled off her pants and ta-daa... the blue knitted soaker was shown!

Mummy never wear En En in wool cover during daytime but probably if the room is 24 hours with air-con still on, it's alright and don't think it is hot. Wool in fact is very breathable and it treated with lanolin is water resistant, air permeable, and slightly antibacterial, so it resists the buildup of odor.

Favourite Song

Mummy wish to record down your favourite song of the moment. Not nursery rhymes or children songs... it's the OGAWA's advertisement song - Close To You by a taiwanese singer Chow Wah Kin!

Your eyes will glue to the TV once you hear the song and stay still till the advertisement finish no matter what you are doing before this. This original song is from The Carpenters but somehow been modified for OGAWA's advertisement and the taiwanese singer was chosen to be their spokeperson. Therefore, you'll always see a guy with a guitar singing in the advertisement.

En En really knows how to enjoy nice song!

Consequence of addicted to pacifier

En En loves her chut-chut (pacifier) and she can't sleep without one. Mummy is thinking to wean her off chut-chut (En En calls it "tut-tut") soon coz this will be a very difficult habit to change.

Her finger is recovering but she just loves to peel the new grown layer of skin. Thus, the finger was always so red. (So heartache to see this, must be very painful!) Pacifier does nothing good if the child is too addicted!

Stroller Free Day!

Saw lots of toddler nowadays still like to sit in stroller. For safety sake, I can understand it's better than a toddler running wildly in the mall. The one I can't really tolerate is a 4 or 5 years old still in a stroller!!! That's ridiculous to me... no offend to other parent coz you may have your reasons for big kid to stay in stroller but not me!

Perhaps the stroller is too small or the toddler is too big. I can see one thing that promote on the kid is laziness plus enjoying as a big baby... LOL! That's pamper...

En En now go out with us without stroller. Stroller was a helper before she can walk but now is a burden for me. Imagine I still need to carry her bottles, bibs, milk powder, diapers/nappy, wipes, etc... in a super huge bag. I wish to reduce on something else and it got to be the stroller. Then, must be tired of carrying her, right? Let her walk!!! That's how she got to burn her energy and build up her leg's strength and stamina. I encourage her to walk more and move freely than sitting quietly in the stroller. I just love to see little one moving about everywhere. Mummy or daddy will have to keep an eye of her as she loves to walk to anywhere... especially following other little children she saw.

What if she nags and throw tantrum? Then got to hug her and carry her for a while... after that put her down slowly when she forgot. Sometimes, she just lifts her leg up protesting and doesn't want to get down on the floor! Well, I still try to put her down and most of the time... hehe... mummy won! LOL Moments like this makes me think of investing in wrap or baby pouch so that I can just hang on the body and still hands-free!!

My Birthday Gifts

This is a very backdated post, my Bday is in the early of Oct. This is the year that I rewarded myself alot... maybe too much according to DH.

So these are the gift I ordered for my own, DH helped me to bring back from US!

100% pure wool and 100% cotton knitting yarn! They are total 22 balls with each ball from USD1.99 - USD2.49, but they don't do international shipping. So, I'm lucky to have DH travel to US. Will knit for years with them since I'm a slow knitter... haha!

Acrylic stamp for my scrapbooking project! Still keeping them as I do not purchase any inkpad but I think this is going to be fun!

The next one is the gift from DH which I long to have and he supported me to go green!

It's a set of cloth menstrual pad!!! Made of bamboo velour and love them so much... extremely soft and luxurious to touch! En En got modern cloth diaper and mummy now also got modern cloth mentrual pad, how nice! Want to know more about cloth mama pad, stay tune for my update on my diapering blog.

So, I'm officially broke now since the gifts for myself were all in USD... *sigh*

Potty Train's Dilemma Part II

Yesterday En En refused to sit on potty so she refused to poo. Today, she showed sign of poo poo on her face and we try to bring the potty for her. She still rejected and ran away to the kitchen, away from the potty. Fine, we didn't force her and she was still bottomless.

En En walked around and the potty was actually put at living room, MIL was trying to make her sat on the potty but she cabut (escaped) fast. Then without anyone realized suddenly the potty dissapeared!!?? Then we saw this little placing the potty back to its original place, and again bottomless. We were waiting for her to do her business and she was busying hiding away the potty. *roll eyes*

MIL took out the potty again and later En En took it away and put back to the place we keep the potty. Everyone felt funny about her act and laughed out hysterically (it's so hard to give her that serious face indicate that mummy is angry, mummy always is the one who burst out loud laughing!) yet she can still give you that innocent smile!

Potty Train's Dilemma

Mummy was very upset with En En today, especially for the potty train part. En En already know and realized when she wants to wee wee but she never cooperate to sit on potty for her business.

We monitored her fluid intake and the time from her last pee and mummy knew it's about the time for her to wee wee. Brought the potty out for her and asked her to sit on potty but she refused. Later screamed and cried! When mummy was about to let her go (since she cried out so pitiful) she peed on the floor immediately, standing! Mummy can't take it anymore and was angry, slapped on her buttock without a second thought.

En En continued crying and call for Ah Kong for rescue but mummy still held her up. Sometimes also don't understand why mummy can be very angry then feel sympathy with the little fella especially when she cried. But geram when she refuse to sit on potty even she really wants to wee wee.

Do you have this problem when potty-train your child? Why is it so difficult but they already understand when they wants to do their business...?

Back to Scrapbooking mood...

I think I'm having back the mood to do scrapbooking (sb) after been abandoned it for cloth diapering. Completed 2 layout (LO) last weekend and feel so contented.

Wow... was inspired by local scrappers in a sb forum that I recently join and my head was full of ideas now. Can't wait to let my creativity ideas flow out into my LO asap. I always believe sb doesn't have to be expensive because once you get the necessities of sb such as the cardstock, pattern paper, acid-free album and some specialty adhesive the rest you can get it in local stationary shop. I got ribbons, lace, button, and some colorful yarn from a local sewing supply shop while searching for knitting yarn. That's one stone kill two birds... hehe... I may get some artificial flower for my LO from the flower shop too.

Saw a few challenge in sb links and feel tempted to participate for fun. Never do this before but I think it will be very interesting. I even think of creating another blog only for sb but feel reluctant coz that's mean my sleep time will be gone in no time... Guess I'm not meant for blogging about PPP for $$$ but for interesting posts, probably yes.

Don't ask me when I'm going to have a blog for music... I think I will pengsan (faint) even before it get started!

Exhausted or Forgetful?

Don't really quite understand how come each time we hope En En to sleep earlier than us, it always ended up I slept first while En En still walking around in the room. *roll eyes*

Most of the time, I hope to apply hand lotion or cream to my cracked heel... I ended up remember to do this the next morning which I should do last night before I sleep. Sometimes, I keeps on reminding myself that I have to apply oinment on En En face or hands' or legs where she got bruises or moisquito's bite but most of the time I forgot. Why? Because I already slept!She won't allow us to apply on her when she's awake so the best time is when she falls asleep. LOL... So, the consequences is En En bruises area recover slower as mummy keeps on forgetting to apply medicine or oinment on her and I feel I'm so lousy... why always keep falling to sleep so easily? Even in the afternoon... haha... And my cracked heel never heal since Chinese New Year as I never really care and only apply the medicine occasionally.

Wish I am the last one to fall asleep but this happen rarely and I always wake up at midnight coz of suddenly think of I need to do something. Be it to wash the milk bottle, transfer En En from bouncer to bed, or change her to long pants, go brush teeth (ya... sometimes I forgot but remember suddenly at midnight... LOL!) ... and many more. But good thing is once I knocked off, I am really recharging as I won't be awake by any noise except En En crying out loud.

If I have No.2, can I still have a good night sleep?

The Penang Mama / Babies Meet

Thanks to Angeleyes who organise for this meet although many mums can't make it last minute. We met at Secret Recipe at e-Gate. Mummies had a great chatting session while the kids were getting to know each other before they played together.

En En was quite shy for the whole session as this is her first time meeting and eating together with other kids which similar to her age. She is the youngest and out of a surprise, she compromised to sit in the highchair for the longest time! Maybe too shy to even make a move... LOL! Little Darrius is so cute and active while little Yang was smiling to anyone he met. He's one happy go lucky little guy. Jing is Yang's elder sister and she got pretty long hair and big eyes! She played the role of big sisters when the younger ones running around in the restaurant.

17 Months

En En officially turn 17 months old today. She is really learning fast everyday and her appetite getting bigger which I think is a good sign. She never reject food now but she wants to try and taste for it. Mummy is glad that she is able to understand whatever we are talking about nowadays but she's also a very naughty and possesive.

Development

1. When we pass by hawker stalls in the car, En En will be able to point out and tell us there's "mum mum" (place to eat).

2. She loves to stand in the car and she is able to grip on anything that she can to balance herself whenever the car is turning or suddenly stop. But of course, she falls sometimes and never compromise to sit in car seat unless it's a long journey.

3. She can open the car door from inside and therefore we must lock the door everytime we travel because she will insist to open the door even when we are waiting for traffic light to turn green. Once the car stop, she will say "OKay!" as if we already reach the destination. *roll eyes*

4. En En now loves to eat but I think the proper word should be love to taste! She will come over and ask for food sharing whenever she saw us have any food on hand or chewing something in the mouth. When it doesn't taste good, she won't be coming to you anymore!

5. En En is able to drink from straw and she's enjoying it before she starts to bite and play with the straw. She also can drink from small cup occasionally, most of the time she just pour it over her front and wet her shirt when she brings the cup high up on the mouth!

6. Whenever she saw advertisement of baby with disposable diaper, she will pull up her shirt or dress and look for herself that she's wearing one too.

7. When mummy change her clothes, she knows it when mummy said right hand and left hand and she will straighten the hand accordingly. But sometimes, she will turn deaf.

8. Potty train - she seldom cooperate when it comes to wee wee, so still need to put her on lampin or cloth diaper. When she wants to do her "big business" then she will let us know and normally wont' reject to sit on the potty.

9. Recently loves and learning to jump! You will see her walk for a while then jump, jump & walk!

10. She loves to drink Chinese tea. So, whenever daddy makes one teapot of chinese tea she will join in and request a small tea cup made of clay like daddy's one. Then, she sure wants to touch the teapot and when we tell her it's hot she will use her fingers to test on the teapot lightly. When we ask her whether it's hot or not, she will node her head. She also put the clay tea cup lightly on the glass table after we told her it's so noisy that she place it hard on the table.

11. En En also prefers to watch children sing song VCD and eat at the same time and requested which songs she wants to watch! Bad habit...

12. She's trying to self feed but still unable to get a spoonful scoop. She ended up playing with the spoon and water.

13. Her signs that she wants to sleep is when she says "tu-tut" and grab her little pooh bear tightly.

14. She's a drama queen as she will try to make cheeky smiley face to you when she's been scolded and hoping that you will smile or laugh. When she's succesful, she will say "OK!" as she knows no one is angry at her already. When you smile at her, she will give you that mischievous smiley look!

Pop Corn!

Mummy loves popcorn, daddy loves popcorn, Ah Mah loves popcorn now even EN EN LOVES POPCORN!!!

The first time we introduced Popcorn to En En about 1 month ago, she's in love with it very much. Mummy loves the munchie munchie feeling, daddy craves as it's so yummy. It is a must have when we go for movie... each one has size Large in hand! Daddy used to buy from GSC, even we don't go for movie. Don't know why so in love with pop-corn, they are simply delicious.

We did a test with En En at home, proven she prefers pop-corn than anything else. Mummy gave En En wholemeal bread with cheese slice, she was enjoying before she saw pop-corn. Daddy brought out a packet of popcorn, En En will automatically go near daddy and spit out her bread! Then, she will stick around you asking for pop-corn. Once she grabbed over the whole box, she won't give back to anyone. If you tell you to give some to mummy or daddy, she will pick some and put in your palm. She won't let our hands to pick from the box.

Nowadays, whenever we want to have pop-corn got to pour into cups or big jar and hide from En En... otherwise she will go for this junk food for fun.

Oh yes, the pop-corn sell at GSC is around RM3.xx for a medium size? Can't remember and it's abit expensive compare to others. Well, you got more caramel there. We found another alternative which cost only RM1.69 for one big cone pack and it's very crunchy. The aroma, taste, freshness almost as good as those from GSC. Check it out at Cold Storage.

Mirror... mirror... on the??

Oh, it's on the wardrobe door. The full length mirror which is now become En En's favourite hang out place before bedtime, after bath or just simply loitering around there.

En En started to attrack to the mirror when she saw herself in there and right away she shouted: "Ba-bie!" She talks to the baby in the mirror, when mummy told her to kiss the baby, she did right away. So, mummy got to wipe the mirror after she sleeps since it will full of her saliva. Yucks~ She just love the mirror and will be so happy if we praise the baby in the mirror is so pretty. Now, every night, she will open the wardrobe door by herself when she feels bored in the room and enjoy herself.

When she refuse to wear clothes after bath, mummy or Ah Mah will bring her to the mirror & tell her shame shame and show her that she's topless or point to her bum! Haha... If she's without a top, she will yells and if she's without any diaper she will pull her shirt to cover the important part while watching the mirror... *roll eyes*

One of our weapon to calm En En when she's crying or become cranky is to bring her to the front of the mirror and tell her to look at the baby who is crying. Strange enough when she sees herself, she will turn to laugh. Weird baby!

I did it!

The culprit that I can't see my other blog which I mentioned in my last post "Helpless in IT" is simply because I didn't sign in first! Duh... this is so careless as I never read the instructions clearly & carefully.

Well, my birthday present to myself is I have my second blog up finally! Welcome to my Cloth Diapering world... haha!

Hopeless in IT....

Can anyone teach me how to add another blog under Blogs Name? I navigated, searched in the Help but don't think they teach you how to diaply out 2 blogs in the profile page. Or simply because I'm not aware enough?

My blog "Awaken Spring" was displayed out accidentally as I can't recall where I did it! I saw others blogger have more than 1 blogs... wow! They are just so cool (to have so much time to update so many blogs...)!

I really need help as I created another blog with the same login and password as this one! So, everytime I login, I'm directed here. What happen to my other new blog?? How am I going to login?? Gee... I guess I was so blur when did the new blog as I never realized the logic... LOL! :P
Kindly leave me some possible solution?? Anyone??

Bedroom Fear

En En refused to sleep at night so bad for the past 2 nights. She was screaming and crying terribly when we turned the light off and tried to place her at the bouncer. OK, we should get rid of the bouncer since she's already more than 1 years old but this idea simply not working. This little fella still prefer to cuddle or turning around in her bouncer before she really sleep soundly.


Last 2 days, the night after daddy off to business trip, we were wondering why En En refused to sleep even it's way pass her sleep time. She slept for 1 and half hour in the afternoon but as we tried to brought her up to the bedroom, she quickly pointed to the door and told us she wants to go out. She became very cranky and wanted to look at the mirror, walking around, didn't want story book... at the end when she became too tired, she cried out loud, screamed like being hit by hard objects or fall from somewhere just to get everyone's attention that she wanted to get out from the bedroom. At the end, she only slept at 12a.m. after putting her in the stroller and pushed in the house. *Tension*

Oh, mummy forgot to mentioned the bouncer already aged 12 years as it was passed down by SIL who used the bouncer for her 2 daughters. Actually that night too MIL found out the steel leg of the bouncer already broken and it couldn't be used. That is another reason why En En was hard to sleep as she didn't have the bouncer to swing her into dreamland. Gosh... she just can't live without the bouncer!! FIL sent the bouncer to repair the next morning.

Second night with the bouncer back, En En still refused to sleep. With her loud voice screaming and crying. After so many hours persuading her, story telling and hardwork from mummy and Ah Mah, this little energizer doozed off at almost 12a.m again! We were so tired but what to do?

Last night, Ah Mah went to bed earlier as she's too tired from taking care of this naughty energizer whole day. Finally left only mummy and En En alone in the room. Mummy didn't entertain En En and was pretending to sleep on the bed. En En first hit mummy's leg as if she's refuse to let mummy sleep too. Then, she walked around the room in dark (yes, mummy switched off the light), babbling to herself and brought her pillow to the bed, on the floor and attempted to sleep on the floor. She was nearly shut down but still refuse to sleep quietly. After 1 hour then only she compromised to crawl into her bouncer and made noise to mummy to swing her to her dreamland (very demanding)...

Knitted Wool Soaker

Ta-daaaa... so here is the product from the wool yarn I bought from Aussie last month. Don't praise me as I'm not the one who complete the knitting, credits to MIL. She is now hook back knitting after so many years never knit. She even completed a few handphone covers too. I just did maybe 20% only... my progress is very slow. New knitter but gaining experience.

This is a diaper cover for fitted diaper (another modern cloth diaper). Fitted diaper is made from cotton, hemp or bamboo. It's a soft diaper with snaps or velcro to wear on baby or toddler. Once it get wet, the outside of the diaper also will be damp. That's why it needs a cover and I chose to use wool as the cover. Ok, the hot issue... I only use this at night in air-con room.

I never wear this on En En yet as it need to be lanolized. I'm waiting for hubby to get me a tube of Lansinoh lanolin from US. So, you might wonder how it works, huh? Too long for me to explain here.

I'll try to knit a smaller size wool diaper cover for my future baby as I still have leftover yarn. Wish me luck this time!

First attempt to wear shoes

Last night, after we were back from kai-kai with En En... we witnessed En En was trying to put on her sandal on her own! Aiyah... no photos... but she is very determined. She was trying so hard to stand with her left leg, one hand was holding to the door or placed it on the small bench and her right foot was trying to insert into the sandal.

The sandal is not the normal slipper or flip-flop type, it's the one that you need to put on the aplix once the feet is in. En En is able to flip open the aplix tab but she doesn't know how to fit her foot in it yet. She was trying for at least 15 minutes and whenever we tried to offer help, she pushed us away and scolded us by screaming. I think she wants to tell "Don't disturb me! Go away!"

En En was sweating after 20 minutes of trying, she never ask for help from anyone. She is one very strong determined girl! Probably another potential stubborn baby??

My Sweet & Humour Hubby

Hubby will be going to US this Friday and this week he insists that I have lunch with him. He said wants to spend more time with me and at home more time with En En. He doesn't mind bringing us out every night. Just the 3 of us.

Today after lunch, he accidentally said something which I felt nothing then suddenly hilarious and can't help laughed out hysterically! LOL

DH: "You are the woman of my dream."

Me: feel honour and sweet**

DH: "You are the only one that I can dream of..."

Me: pause & think for a while** is that mean you are forbidden by your mistress to think of other woman?? But I never say this to you...

He's real funny as he made it in a singing tone & I burst into uncontrollable laugh.
Love you dearly!

By the way, he will be back in 1 week time.

Restless En En

Mummy never can understand why En En never feels tired after a long whole day and yet refuse to sleep till late night? She is too energetic but these few days she's not keen in taking her usual porridge. We have difficulty to feed her... I plan to let her self-feed but that will only mess up the place and she won't be eating much coz she will have fun playing with food.

En En woke up after 10am yerterday according to MIL and only nap for 2hours in the afternoon. Even the afternoon nap... Ah Mah already run out of idea on how to get this little fella to sleep after she's been so tired. Story telling and soothe music already useless now. So, Ah Mah got to put her in stroller and pushed her in the house till she mabuk (drunk feeling) and sleep soundly then only can carry her back to her bouncer! Mummy is not going to do this for her at night, this is a bad bad habit and not recommended. But not sure will consider this tactics if En En's condition is getting worse.

Mummy thought she will be tired after 9.30pm and brought her up to bedroom about 10pm. After her milk milk at 10.30pm she got up and was busy walking around in the room, opened and closed the wardrobe door with mirror and admiring the baby in the mirror. Sometimes, she will talks to the baby in the mirror (yes, self talk) even after I switched off the light. Terrible part is she will hit the door, making noises & tell mummy to open the door for her. She wants to go out even everybody alredy goes to sleep.

Recently she cling more to Daddy and only daddy is able to ask her go to bed. She listens to daddy's command (yes, after a few stroke on her butt and thigh). Her eyes were all red but she still want to play and go out. It takes about 1-2 hours for her to sleep everyday. Mummy believes there is some bad habits that should be identified and changed. Looks like we are going to invest in cane soon...

How to teach 2-3 years old music?

Anyone know how to teach a 2 or 3 years old children music? I have a 3 years old student recently. This is my first time having such a young age student. Having headache and start to wonder why nowadays parent send their toddler to music lesson when the child is still learning to talk!!?? Kiasu syndrome??

Personally, I think it's not necessary and it's just too early. Unless you don't mind spending earlier. By the way, I'm refering to one to one teaching method. Children at this young age need to get active and is curious about their surroundings. They have very short concentration period. I do not know how others think, even one day if I think En En is talented in music and show interest in it,(in fact, she is!) I'll just start to introduce her different sounds and enjoy first. Yes, switch on the radio and dance together. That's how they learn to respond with music. Anything in the house can become the music instrument such as the milk powder tin, wooden chopstick to hit together or hit on the tin, any ordinary household item that is safe for use on toddler. Mind you, we even let En En use 2 of the cup covers which is made of stainless steel as cymbal. Suitable for her little hands too! Let them know how we get the sound and build up the beat.

Basic requirements for a student to attend a specific musical instrument class:
1) Able to read and write ABC and 123, basically knows all the alphabets.
2) Able to do simple calculation, this is for beats counting purpose.
3) Able to understand simple instructions. Can you assure that 3 years old will understand what is tone or rhythm?
4) Able to concentrate longer. Young children is easily get drifted away by things and environments that's why it's kind of difficult to get their cooperation.
5) Able to follow/perform the beats counting as music is all about correct beats and tempo. So, start to train your little one in counting beats by hand clapping with nursery rhyme.

I might be updating this topic in the future if I come across any new ideas in teaching the little one music. One more thing before I forget, involve them in a small group as they all love having fun together. It's not suppose to be a serious class, it's a playful moment!
