Lunch at home

A twist from cooking rice everyday, PIL decided to change abit for lunch one day. Taste good with the fresh ingredient added and almost identical to real Har Mee (in Penang it's called Hokkien Mee).

I love...

Today I feel like wanted to voice up something so I asked mummy to help me blog and let aunties know whether I'm clever girl or not.

I love to eat "kiam hu" "(salted fish crackers) and "bak hu" (homemade meat floss) that Ah Mah made. I can just take as many "kiam hu" as I can if I request from Ah Mah, Mummy and Ah Kong but they always limit me and worst still hide the bottle that keep "kiam hu" away from my Sight! I can't help it but it really taste so munchy and crunchy... hmm... I wish when I grow older and taller I will take the bottle and keep for myself inside my shirt!

I love to have/play with "bak hu" when I'm having my porridge. I prefer to ask daddy to bring the "bak hu" to me. Whenever they suggested "bak hu" that's the time when I don't tolerate to take porridge. So, I will quickly said "papa! papa na (means daddy take in mandarin)" Then, I will slowly use my finger to nibble and put into my mouth bit by bit or pour them out from the saucer and mess on the "table" of my walker. Ah Mah said must put me into the walker when it's feeding time otherwise I might run away in the middle of my meal. I also don't know how and when... I was busy playing with "bak hu" my porridge already finish and I also feel not so comfortable on my throat and requested to take half bowl of the soup.

Basically, that's my feeding time and the usage of "bak hu" but now I don't really like to eat "bak hu". I still love to play with them. *Cheeky grin* The new activity I love now is talk to myself and pen-down afew things from my thought...

See? I can hold the pen very well now and Ah Mah said I'm holding pen in a correct way now!

Moment that we enjoy...

It's gonna be time for ICE-CREAM! Three of us, with daddy being the super fan... just love the chocolate-top cone sundae from McD even En En also will scream for it if she sees us with one in hand. She can't really finish the whole cone by herself and mummy will be the one who helps her to finish up 70%, otherwise the ice-cream turn into liquid very fast with En En's super slow and careful bit-by-bit-lick. She is sure enjoying it very much... Slurp~! Slurp~!
We found out we are only fond of the chocolate-top sundae even there are so many types of icre-cream available from McD such as the McFluffy, the new Sundae Twist,... then later only mummy knows the chocolate used is from Cadbury. No wonder the chocolate taste different from the sundae in cup!
Yesterday daddy and mummy passed by McD and can't help to get another 2 cones and enjotying them in the car before go home! Really sick with McD cone sundae... Great ice-cream doesn't necessary to be Haagen Daz or Baskin Robbins, isn't it?

Seafood Feast

This is a backdated post.

Daddy and mummy went to Bali Hai at Gurney Drive with friends (daddy's colleagues) for a feast on seafood! Mummy never post anything on food before and this is the first time because it could be a memorable experience. As you can see from the board of the restaurant, it's written "If it swims, we have it!" You got to believe them.

Look at the crab... very yummylicious but we couldn't finish it with 11 persons and have to take away.

This is the local big prawn (large shrimp) and they are really giant in size. All the fish, crabs, lobsters,... in Bali Hai are alive in the chill water when you make your order. Mostly are imported species from US, Norway, Australia, Taiwan, and so on...

This is the shrimp cook with "tang hun" in hokkien (vermicelli?)

this is the sea cucumber cooked with mushrooms, brocolli and sea scallop in slices. A very authentic Chinese style dish.

The sweet and mildly fragant meat of the King's crab. It is very huge and enough to be prepared and cooked in two different styles from one crab.

Hot and spicy version of Alaska King Crab! Too hot till we couldn't taste the meat... what a put off!

This is the up close look of Alaska King Crab. We need to place order to have this dish... it's cost almost 700 bucks for one crab... depends on the size & weight!

Not in the list is the steam grouper, more than RM30 per 100g. Everyone was very satisfy with the meal and this could be the first or maybe the last time mummy having such a splendid meal. It cost, well... as expected:

Total for RM1672.66

Pop Corn!

Mummy loves popcorn, daddy loves popcorn, Ah Mah loves popcorn now even EN EN LOVES POPCORN!!!

The first time we introduced Popcorn to En En about 1 month ago, she's in love with it very much. Mummy loves the munchie munchie feeling, daddy craves as it's so yummy. It is a must have when we go for movie... each one has size Large in hand! Daddy used to buy from GSC, even we don't go for movie. Don't know why so in love with pop-corn, they are simply delicious.

We did a test with En En at home, proven she prefers pop-corn than anything else. Mummy gave En En wholemeal bread with cheese slice, she was enjoying before she saw pop-corn. Daddy brought out a packet of popcorn, En En will automatically go near daddy and spit out her bread! Then, she will stick around you asking for pop-corn. Once she grabbed over the whole box, she won't give back to anyone. If you tell you to give some to mummy or daddy, she will pick some and put in your palm. She won't let our hands to pick from the box.

Nowadays, whenever we want to have pop-corn got to pour into cups or big jar and hide from En En... otherwise she will go for this junk food for fun.

Oh yes, the pop-corn sell at GSC is around RM3.xx for a medium size? Can't remember and it's abit expensive compare to others. Well, you got more caramel there. We found another alternative which cost only RM1.69 for one big cone pack and it's very crunchy. The aroma, taste, freshness almost as good as those from GSC. Check it out at Cold Storage.
