Ok... I have to admit I've been neglecting this blog for a few months. Not that I don't have anything to post but life is so hectic nowadays... there are many more tasks to carry out everyday. Alright, I need to review my time management either for personal and work as well.
Latest update about the kids is - they are growing way too fast and I missed out too many incidents, be it happy, sad, grumpiest (this must be Zheng!), fun, ... from them to be jotted down here. One thing that amazed me lately from the blogger mummies are many is having baby No.3!!! This is quite a shocking news to me since they told me they are doing good with one girl and one boy (you know who you are yeah...) but I'm very happy for them.
So up next is baby bloomers I can't miss should be baby knits! Oh gosh... where on earth I have the time to knit so many baby gifts?? But I still love baby knits and hopefully I will be able to squeeze in time to knit more so that I can have extra baby gifts if I have surprises like this next time.. LOL!!! Just realized many of the mummy is having or going to have baby GIRLS!!! Girls tends to have more options when it comes to knitwear...
Alright, switched topic - My sanity? Well, today is my happy day coz I'm ON LEAVE!!! Not only that, I got my hair trimmed and dyed in red undertone, even it's not so obvious but can see the red under sunlight; visited Bobbi Brown counter in Gurney Plaza which I long to many many years ago and got myself this:
Want to see the actual products? Well, I have been eyeing them (yes, one palette and one set of mini brushes) since the launch and really can't wait to have them...
Hmm... a little small fortune spent there. I'm definitely a Bobbi Brown's fans since 10 years ago!!! Oh... how time flies, now you know why I need makeup... Opps!
When I reached home, there was a parcel waiting for me. I think I know what it was and Ta-dah -
The online contest prize that organised by mybabybay.com. I'm not sure whether En En will like it or not but this is really an early Christmas gift.
So I shall be a happy mummy today! YEAH!!!
This is the place to jots down every spicy & juicy ingredients added in our life since having our first child. It is our great memory flashback tool in years to come.

New Year... new life??
First of all, this is the first time mummy never update anything on the last day of 2010 and the first day of 2011. In short, no blogging activity from end of December 2010 till early January 2011. Nope, not really the lazy bug around but we are not in Malaysia!!!
Okay, the new life here means us in the family... don't get misunderstanding thinking mummy is carrying a new life. (No, two of them already making us tumbling down at home... no more new baby!!!)
Oh yes, we went to this place in the North with Gong Gong & Po Po and to make it more merrier, mummy's uncle's family (Po Po's brother) and mummy's maternal grandma joined in the fun too! Simply a new experience for En En and Zheng.
Can guess whereabout? Clues: It's almost 5-6 hours ride from Kedah. Need passport... or border pass. :)
Not many photos can be taken as Zheng was fussing, disturbing throughout the trip. No fun to bring a toddler who refuse to eat and be an obediant child for a few days. Well, at least we tried to include Zheng for all the trips we have. Probably the next trip for them will be quite some time later.
Zheng was having his very first time "swimming" in the sea with mummy and both of them were having a great time making sand castle! Rou En refused to play water at the beach but got her first swim in a hotel's pool. She loves it very much even initially she dare not go near the water.
Some of the photos of them in the pool...
Freezing Zheng who refusd to wear a shirt as his body and lips were turning black when he insisted to stay in the ice-cold pool. Luckily, he stopped fussing and get out from the pool eventually and stayed with Po Po while watching others played.
So, mummy was able to spend time with Rou En in the pool without worrying about Zheng.
All in all, it was a fun and exciting trip for the kids... as usual... when can parent enjoy their own vacation??
*********************************************************************************
Some knitting projects to show off (that's why blog so little for the past one year!!!)
Remember Rou En's blouse?
Ta-dah! Presenting our little model with mummy's handknitted Rainbow Dress (in fact, it's a bigger size pullover for her)
And mummy's wool shrug which started since August 2009 and completed in mid of December 2010! The longest knitting project in queue...
Wish to continue knitting in this new year too. It brings satisfaction... in some way, knitting is therapeutic. Kids are growing so fast, Rou En is attending K1 in her kindergarten this morning.
Most important of all, the new life is WE ARE MAID LESS now!!! The maid somehow ran away... so let's just take this opportunity to lose weight by taking up the household chores more...
It's late, but still wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2011!!!

Mother's Day of 2010
Unable to blog on time for what's happening before Mother's Day. En En's school was having a Mother's Day celebration and parents were invited to attend the celebration which includes some singing, dancing and drama performed by the children. Yes, mummy went with Zheng.
We are so impress that our girl was performing confidently with other kids from her class and she was not the shy and timid little girl anymore.
Teachers taught the children to create some cards and a carnation flower for mummy during their Arts & Crafts session. There is one handmade photo frame of mother and their child in it for memory keepsake. En En loves it when she first saw it. Really a wonderful gift for mother's day.
The first handmade carnation flower mummy received from En En...

Going to School
En En went for a trial class for the past 2 days in school or probably will be her nursery school soon. She seems very happy going to school eventhough she said she doesn't want to go when we asked her.
Mummy attended the class with her (yes, inside the classroom!) from 9.30am (well, it started at 9.am sharp) till 12 noon. From reluctant to join on first day, she was slowly enjoying the activities in class. Lots of movement with playing while learning is what mummy loves about this center. It's run by an Australian mama whom mummy knew from the Penang babywearing group!
Mummy joined En En in the class sicne she's too shy and timid to mix with her peers. She even zipped her mouth and looked away while others were singing or the teacher was asking her a question. Even so, mummy noticed En En in fact was observing her surrounding and whatever that was happening. So far, we created sea creatures with Play-Doh, did colouring. writing, singing with movements, counting with coloured figurines and crayons,... and there are lots of story books displayed in the classroom which teacher will ask the students who completed their writing or colouring work to grab one while waiting for others to finish.
We attended the trial class and after discussed with daddy, we decided to enrol En En for the last 2 weeks of the month before the school holiday starts since she started to show her interest. Then on January 2010, En En will be officially going to school!

First Time Shopping
For DiDi to walk! First time mummy went out with Zheng without a sling! Mind you, we never use stroller at all as DiDi hates to sit quietly and will fuss whenever he's unable to see the surrounding. In a sling, he's able to see what mummy is able to see as well.
We let Di Di walked on his own... in fact, we were in Gurney Plaza to get him a first and a new pair of slipper. Mummy and daddy never expect Zheng already able to walk steadily by 11 months old and hence never prepare any boy slipper or shoes for him. So, Zheng was wearing En En's old slipper... see... it's PINK!!!

The first craft
Playing with paper punches and stamping! No choice, mummy got to bring out all the tools and papers for scrapbooking to introduce En En some paper craft or maybe scrapbooking in future... Oh well, she loves it!
The flowers in white and black ink stamped by En En, mummy embellished them later with the details. Nice or not? Will blog about where this to be used in next post.

Confinement Lady or Confinement Center?
Seriously I really need advise on what is the biggest difference between staying at confinement center over having a persoanl confinement lady at home?
Alright, the most I heard is confinement center is not supportive over breastfeeding. True?I guess that's the biggest worry for moms who is planning to breastfeed the baby. Secondly, it's not as comfortable as staying at home, right? But as for my case, it will be a problem to get a CL to stay with us as the house already so crowded... I'm staying with in-laws, BIL and coming soon another Indon maid. Well, I guess it is a luxury to have a persoanl CL at home but it seems abit impossible and I'm reluctant to stay in confinement center due to rumours like "you won't get 100% nutritious soup or diluted red dates drinks as the center caters for so many mothers" or "mother will be advised to leave baby at nursery for care"... and so on. Is this true? Any mummies stay in confinement center before??? Mind to share with me your experience?
My only concern is to breastfeed (in a relax place)... that's my highest priority. In fact, I don't really hope to stay at home with in-laws as too many "advises" from previous experience that caused me had terrible stress and thus failure in breastfeeding!!! Initially I plan to get a CL in my hometown and spend 1 month there but there will be some business going on in my family and therefore the plan is cancelled. I really feel miserable over this and don't intend to get the CL to stay in my in-law place... looks like confinement center will be my next alternative.

To the beach!
Weird enough, she refused to step down to the beach and asked us to carry her while she's exploring the new view. She kept on saying "pom... pom..." - swimming in the sea while pointing to the sea! Unfortunately this little one is quite timid and never ask us to let her play the water. She's scared!
Before we went back, she finally agreed to step down to the beach but never move her step. *roll eyes* Stood there still for mummy to snap, snap!
Dear beach, we are going to pay you more visit from now on...

The Penang Mama / Babies Meet
Thanks to Angeleyes who organise for this meet although many mums can't make it last minute. We met at Secret Recipe at e-Gate. Mummies had a great chatting session while the kids were getting to know each other before they played together.
En En was quite shy for the whole session as this is her first time meeting and eating together with other kids which similar to her age. She is the youngest and out of a surprise, she compromised to sit in the highchair for the longest time! Maybe too shy to even make a move... LOL! Little Darrius is so cute and active while little Yang was smiling to anyone he met. He's one happy go lucky little guy. Jing is Yang's elder sister and she got pretty long hair and big eyes! She played the role of big sisters when the younger ones running around in the restaurant.

En En: enjoying her appetizer...

Yang was posing for the camera shot!
Darrius: This is my seat!
En En: No, it's mine...
Darrius, Yang: We rules the world!
Darrius: Wah... wah... grahhh...
En En: What are you trying to do??
Everybody: Let's mess up the place!!!

First Wedding Day
EnEn "wrote" this on behalf of mummy:
Mummy and I attended wedding of Uncle Eddie today. He's mummy's cousin brother in Sungai Petani, Kedah. I followed mummy back to hometown on Monday, I was very excited to see Poppy dog again! I saw jiu jiu (mummy's younger brother) after so long... mummy said the I saw him for the last time when I was 4 or 5 months old??!! I was afraid at first but then after jiu jiu brought me to see Poppy dog, I got along well with him. (So easy to compromise...) I'm very happy to see Po Po and stick to her whenever she goes... I don't want mummy, Xiao Yee (Aunt Mendy) or Gong Gong. Just po po alone will do.

Then suddenly Po Po was not around, left only mummy, gong gong, xiao yee, jiu jiu and other strangers in that house. After some times, I made new friends and was playing with them. I had a great time.
From right: Aunt Sally, Aunt Mendy, myself and MunMun jie jie.

This morning, everyone in the family was so rush when I woke up. I don't know why but I heard go kai-kai (outing), and I never make noise. After almost 1 hour ride, it seems so long... I also don't know why yesterday when I was following mummy, papa & Ah Mah in a long ride too from Penang to Alor Setar. But I don't know where was today destination. We reached our destination and it's a new house. We went into the house and I saw one beautiful room and I kept on saying "mei mei..." (it means beautiful in mandarin)
Then suddenly Po Po was not around, left only mummy, gong gong, xiao yee, jiu jiu and other strangers in that house. After some times, I made new friends and was playing with them. I had a great time.
I was then fall asleep and suddenly heard very loud noises behind the door. I was in a room, all alone! I felt scared and I screamed out loud and cried. Mummy and Po Po came by and tried to calm me down but never succeed. Then, they brought me out from the room and I saw this:
And lots of people in the house. After that, I was given an "Ang Pau" by the couple... I called the guy jiu jiu too and I was so confuse why I got so many jiu jiu suddenly?
OK, mummy explain to you... the newlywed is mummy's younger cousin brother, which is your Gong Gong's elder brother's son.
I was crying after the ceremony finished as I saw a man with bald head. Mummy said this is not the first time I have this reaction but don't understand why. Well, let me represent mummy to wish the newlywed happy and prosperous towards their new life together.
