Life Without A Camera

Mummy always use pe pe (my BIL)'s SLR to take photos. Even mummy is just a normal user as mummy never explore about SLR... too lazy to do that. Recently found out it's not much of fun without a camera. Why? Unable to take pictures. The Nikon SLR has been "sick" for 1 week already and pe pe is busy with work. Therefore, no one is sending the camera to "hospital".

Well, it's not really necessary to have a camera but mummy missed a few special shots. Talking about that... hmm... the knitted wool soaker already completed. Credit goes to Ah Mah coz mummy only knited maybe 20% of the soaker? Ah Mah can't wait for mummy's progress and finished the knitting the wool soaker 3 days ago. Thanks alot for MIL's help. Mummy is unable to snap the photo of the soaker. Even so, it really looks cute and special... haha!

Oh yes, we finally gave En En a hair cut. Ah Mah is the hairdresser for En En. Since En En is very easily to sweat, dislike hot weather (imagine she can sweat even sleeping in the air-con room!) and refuse for anyone to tie her hair so we gave her a boy-cut look. Again... no pictures to show *Sigh*. She looks simply handsome! LOL... Mummy wear En En in pants and shirts, people will surely be mistaken that she'a a boy boy! How mummy wish to show En En's new look in the blog. Will find a way soon...

Tying the Knot... 3 Years

Today marked the third years into our marriage life from the day we signed the paper together. ( OMG! I just realized Jazzmint also share the same big day with mine!)

It's a long journey since we first met in year 2001. I was still doing my last year and we were so comfortable with each other company even till today! We married for 3 years, wedding ceremony just 2 years ago but we have been together for 6 years! Unbelievable!!

Well, I nearly forgot about today and no wonder hubby asked me out for lunch. (Hubby keeps on complaining how come I'm so forgetful) We just had a simple lunch and talking back about old days then only we realized how fast time flies.

So, Happy Anniversary to hubby & myself too!!

Learn to Talk... More...

Nowadays, En En loves to imitate what we say and she will try her best to get the pronunciation by following what we told her. She is a very observative and fast learner toddler, whenever we talk about her, about her attitude or the words she said, she will do/say it again in front of everyone promptly. She responds very fast.

CASE 1:-
This is the conversation between grandma and mummy:

Grandma :"En En was very naughty today. She tried to play with the power socket to try switching on the TV. So, we scolded her and gave her fierce face look. "

En En was playing with her toy when mummy and grandma were having this conversation.

Grandma :" En En still not scare and eventually Ah Mah had to scolde her in a higer voice tone then she stood still there, making funny faces to us and hoping that we will laugh at her."

This little fella is so cheeky and she tried to make fun of herself to redirect people's anger and forget that she's being naughty. At this time when mummy looked at En En, she was doing wink wink (open & close the eyes rapidly) with mummy. Mummy felt abit funny and nearly laugh out. yeah, now mummy know how the situation was previously.

Grandma :"Then Ah Kong asked En En to kiss him and Ah Mah to show that En En is good girl. She quickly ran to Ah Kong and gave him a kiss; then she came to me and kissed me. You guess what she said after the kiss?"

En En was doing smooches *Muak... muak...* when grandma was telling mummy at the same time!

Mummy :"What did En En say?"

Grandma :"After she kissed me, she said Ou-Kay, Ou-Kay (OK) means no more angry after one kiss! I can't help and laughed out loud with Ah Kong..."

En En was saying Ou-Kay... Ou-Kay... right after we talked about it.

Case 2:-
Just now mummy showed En En cards with different colours and teach her to tell the colours. This is the first time I received so fast nearly accurate pronunciation from En En. It's so cute, wish I recorded down. Very well done for her first trial.

Purple - she said it as "per-ple" and continue saying that repeatedly
Red - she said "ed"
Blue - she pronunced as "bu"
Black - she said "ack" without the "bl-"
Pink - "ping"

First Wedding Day

EnEn "wrote" this on behalf of mummy:

Mummy and I attended wedding of Uncle Eddie today. He's mummy's cousin brother in Sungai Petani, Kedah. I followed mummy back to hometown on Monday, I was very excited to see Poppy dog again! I saw jiu jiu (mummy's younger brother) after so long... mummy said the I saw him for the last time when I was 4 or 5 months old??!! I was afraid at first but then after jiu jiu brought me to see Poppy dog, I got along well with him. (So easy to compromise...) I'm very happy to see Po Po and stick to her whenever she goes... I don't want mummy, Xiao Yee (Aunt Mendy) or Gong Gong. Just po po alone will do.

This morning, everyone in the family was so rush when I woke up. I don't know why but I heard go kai-kai (outing), and I never make noise. After almost 1 hour ride, it seems so long... I also don't know why yesterday when I was following mummy, papa & Ah Mah in a long ride too from Penang to Alor Setar. But I don't know where was today destination. We reached our destination and it's a new house. We went into the house and I saw one beautiful room and I kept on saying "mei mei..." (it means beautiful in mandarin)

Then suddenly Po Po was not around, left only mummy, gong gong, xiao yee, jiu jiu and other strangers in that house. After some times, I made new friends and was playing with them. I had a great time.

From right: Aunt Sally, Aunt Mendy, myself and MunMun jie jie.

I was then fall asleep and suddenly heard very loud noises behind the door. I was in a room, all alone! I felt scared and I screamed out loud and cried. Mummy and Po Po came by and tried to calm me down but never succeed. Then, they brought me out from the room and I saw this:

And lots of people in the house. After that, I was given an "Ang Pau" by the couple... I called the guy jiu jiu too and I was so confuse why I got so many jiu jiu suddenly?
OK, mummy explain to you... the newlywed is mummy's younger cousin brother, which is your Gong Gong's elder brother's son.

I was crying after the ceremony finished as I saw a man with bald head. Mummy said this is not the first time I have this reaction but don't understand why. Well, let me represent mummy to wish the newlywed happy and prosperous towards their new life together.

Knitting Progress

I feel like crying already... I'm still so far away from completing my wool soaker. Think probably I will ban myself from writing blogs for 2 weeks! Even MIL also said I'll complete that in a year with current progress... *Sigh*

It's not easy to do this needlework, lots of patient and time required. I started a few rounds of knit and purl but oming to the next row only reliazed I made mistake. So, gotto undo and redo again... that took me 2 hours to knit back again. What to do, new beginner is like that...

Think I got to be more disciplin and determine to get my project done as soon as possible. En En is growing everyday, got to make sure the measurement still fit her after I complete... haha!

My Clever Girl

Nowadays, En En able to tell us which one belongs to who of anything in the house. She developes good recognization and identifying ability and I was shock when she's able to point and say it out loud!

One evening after work I brought En En to see my maid collects all the dry clothes at the back of the house. My maid simply show En En her own clothes and asked (in Malay):"En En, ini baju siapa? (whose clothes is this?)" I thought En En not able to tell but to my surprise she said: "Baby!" She is referring to herself as baby most of the time. Then my maid showed En En her own (my maid's own) clothes and asked her again whose clothes is it, En En replied: "Kakak!" Oh my god! En En is only 16 months old and she's able to tell that!

Today, MIL show En En our cups. Each of us use our own cup and guess what? En En is able to tell and point to which cups belongs to daddy, mummy, Ah Kong, Ah Mah and pe pe (my BIL)! Amazing... as we never teach her before, the same goes to our shoes too! That prooves this little fella is observing all the time eventhough she never mention or tell anything but she is aware! Got to be more careful about words and actions that we do and say as it really will influence little one very fast!

White Hair??

Can't really remember since when exactly I discover the few strands of white hair growing out. If not mistaken should be after I start to blog and go to bed late at night (or maybe very early in the morning?) and my ultimate record is 3am. Yes, my bedtime.

Or is it because I do scrapbooking till late night? Thinking too much for ideas?Too much of blog hopping (hop, hop, hop till malaysia's current news blog... opps! wrong channel) perhaps? But it keeps me exciting to visit others blog... hehe...

I thought just 1 or 2 strands of white hair is alright, but lately I discover I have new white hair growing out instead of turning white halfway from the original black hair. I have truely black hair that almost all the hairdresser I met praise on how black my hair is. I only dyed twice since birth... and giving the least care of all the body part.

Why is this happening? I don't want to break my mum's record earlier... she had spotted white hair in early 40s and I'M NOT YET EVEN 30!!!

Mummies blogger out there, what about you?

Award!

I received this award from Wen And Slavemom (I prefer to call you Mdm Saw)...thank you very much. I always feel warm and glad knowing all the blogger friends from the day one I start blogging. I treasure everyone that visit to my blog and I also become a regular visitor to your blog too. It's a nice sharing experience and suddenly I recall I did receive another award from Michelle. We don't see each other personally but we are friends to each other, isn't it? This is the new friend making community and I hope I'm not too late into blogging too. :)

The originator of the Nice Matters Award states that it is meant for “those that are just nice people, good blog friends, and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those that care about others, that are there to lend support, or those that are just a positive influence in our blogging world!”

These 7 people who share alot with others and I would love to give the award to:

New Toy

There was one morning En En woke up with only mummy at home... oh yes... daddy still sleeping if not mistaken. We went downstairs and mummy was busy with something else and no one was there to entertain our little princess.

Suddenly, mummy saw En En was bringing the basket we use to put her soiled lampin (muslin) and modern cloth diaper to the living hall. Of course, it's already been cleaned by MIL. She positioned the basket in front of the chair and cabinet so that she could hold on and put her legs in one after another. Oh my goodness, she was squatting in the basket but too bad the basket is not big enough for her to sit in. Then, she was successfully coming out from the basket by her own. Mummy was busy taking her photos at that moment and didn't bother she would fall or not... haha...LOL!

En En just dragged the basket to kitchen, back to the living hall; attempt to go in again, try to put on her head... but no fun after doing it several times and finally she gave up playing with the basket.

My inspiration of knitting came from when I become a cloth diaper addict!

Surprise from my 1 month unpaid leaves!

Received a surprise sms from my music teacher, it read like this:

"You can threat me already.
You scored 76.
You got a Merit."

Woohoo...! This short message really made my day... I was struggling before I decided to take the one month unpaid leave just to prepare for the music exam. Now, I can release my breath, continue with my music as I regain motivation and I think I have a good reason & responsible to be a good student too!

My Mobile Phone

Can you see I got one cool mobile phone with me? (yes, mummy know that)

It was once belongs to Ah Mah but don't know why after sometimes it becomes mine. (you spoiled it already)

I like this phone coz it simply looks cool and I can flip, flip, flip the cover! (that's how it's been destroyed)

I just can't figure out why daddy's and mummy's one got light and pictures when I hit the button but mine just look dark all time?? (spoiled already and no battery)

I love to use this phone to call Papa and po po in Alor Setar because after I called them, they will come afterwards. (we planned out one)

I started not so keen on my mobile phone anymore because recently I discovered the big phone on the table! (Nah... this one is not your toy, mummy will think of a way not to let you go near the table anymore)

TAG: 8 random facts about my mum

Tag even for my MUM??!! Got this from this mama and well... I guess all of us do have memories about our mama, it's a good way to journal it down.

1. My mum married young and she regretted being not able to further her study because her family were poor. Therefore, since young I already know I must study hard in order to further my education in university and become a working lady which I did. If not because of her encouragement, I won't excel and discover my abilities in academic and sport. I represented Malaysia in SEA Games before

2. My mum has a body to die for even after she delivered 4 babies. It's hour glass shape figure up till today! Boy... I'm so ashame when standing besides her and people always said we are like sisters. Oh ya... she will be 50 next year.

3. She is the shortest in the family and it's hard to believe my younger brother who is 6 feet tall is her son... haha!

4. She is a great helper and assistant for my dad when they were in textile business. She can sew and manage business very well with my dad. We have lots of sewn clothing such as bedsheets, blanket, pillow casing, curtain, hanky, pyjamas, bags and so much more that are exclusively homely made. I still have a few with me and they are still in use.

5. She is one of the old fashion thinking mum which insist on old costume to be practised in the family. She is more superticious than my MIL who is almost 15 years older than her... haha! When we ask her why this why that, she will tell us: "go study more, you'll know this when you grow up!" Yes, and thanks for her advice we are now able to recognise facst and mysts. Haha....LOL

6. She is one excellent confinement lady (CL)and nanny but she's not doing this as her business. When I delivered En En, my mum became my CL (unplanned one) for some emergency reason. I never doubt about her capabilities and strange enough every babies that cry non-stop and giving hard time for their parents, will be very easy to handle when handed over into my mum's arm. My aunt's and uncle's babies were sent back to Alor Setar for 1 or 2 months stay with my mum and most of the time, they will become calmer babies. Amazing!

7. She's keen in learning new things regardless of age. She is learning to use computer & email and still think big about her dream... she wish to be financially independant after being SAHM for so long. She is one of the active member of my uncle's company now.

8. She loves and cares for her family members even my aunties and uncle are living apart from her. She will try to help if she can probably because she's already doing this since she was 9 years old after losing my grandfather. Being the eldest daughter, she is like half parent to her siblings.

Now, I'm going to tag:

Bryan's Mama

"Pa-Mi-Kong", "Mah-Mi-Kong"

En En lately like to play with her varbal ability. Guess what she's saying with the above?

Pa - papa
Mi - mummy
Kong - Ah Kong
Mah - Ah Mah

She just loves to play with these words as though she's singing. She is now able to call everyone of us correctly with nearly 95% accuracy on pronounciation. Including "pe-pe" - my BIL, "ku-ku" - my SIL, "yi-yee" - my younger sisters.

Mummy discovered she calls "Happy!" The name of a dog behind our house, that belongs to a neighbour. Every late afternoon, En En will ask us to bring her to the kitchen and she will stand near the window to see Happy. She just know that Happy will be there with the maid (the neighbour's maid) and never miss single day for that. Well, guess she's another dog lover.

Swimming Pool, here I come!

This is En En with mummy in a babypool, she's so afraid being the first time soaking in the pool. When En En realized the water level just above her chest when she was standing... she was overjoy and finally turned her serious face into a smiling face.
En En was not splashing water or going any further from where mummy put her and she held on mummy's neck very firmly at the beginning. Her most enjoyable moment? Watching kor kor & jie jie playing in the pool! Hopefully someday you will be playing together in the pool too.

Spot what's difference with En En?

.....

.....

.....

Mummy tied her hair up! She looks so girlie now...

Medicine War

Remember En En refuse medicine?? Basically, mummy afraid most is her tactics to get rid of taking medicine. She will run around for you to chase her and can you imagine we still need to place her in the walker in order not to let her run away?! That's one episode.

Next episod will be make her open her mouth and forget about the feeling of taking medicine... how? En En is one strange baby, once she's busy with other activity you will get her co-operation to feed with spoon very fast.

So, we did this:
Host unlimited photos at slide.com for FREE!
Let her play & busy with spoon and water in tea cup...

and,
Host unlimited photos at slide.com for FREE!
pump water into her mouth... she just love it!

By the time she had enough, she will start spitting water... brrrgh... brrgh...

Crazy Mama on-the-go!

Oh my... last weekend was interesting, En En got into the swimming pool (ok, it's babypool) for the first time and already recovered from her fever before she was able to play water in the pool. Thank God! Mummy caught flu after that... maybe virus from En En since woke up at 3am daily with En En for 1 week. Will blog this out later.

Ok, mummy got to admit neglecting the blog update due to sourcing for knitting materials and browsing lots of free knitting & crocheting pattern online. Mummy skipped lunch for a few days now coz realized time is so limited to slot in knitting session. Srapbooking temporarily give way, but still need to do searching to provide the buying list of scrapbooking items for daddy who's going to US soon. Yes, US is far more cheaper than here... will try to get some papers and hopefully a few supplies. Cross finger...

Guess what, I can't even believe I'm trying to knit while on the wheels! All this while, the most I did was reading magazine or newspaper, I just don't like to waste time for traffic jam or long waiting for traffic light to turn green. So just took out the needle and yarn in bag... luckily the waiting period is long - nearly 4/5 minutes. I'm still an almost-score-0 in knitting beginner, struggling so muh to get the correct stitch... and was so happy that I manage to do casting on, even it's just one stitch! I hope the driver besides me didn't see what I was doing... haha! I'm another crazy mama on the go.
