More Pacifier

We bought any brand of the pacifier for En En and mainly last only for 1 week or 10 days. If mummy is not mistaken, En En had almost 8 pacifier since 4 months old (yes... mummy can't wait to wean you off coz you are too addicted!!!) excluding the one that she's having now.

Since she has teeth, this is what happen to those "shorter-life" paci...

The longer life span of pacifier in market... so far tested and it got to be Avent.

We tried not to give her pacifier and even gave her the spoilt one but she's still enjoying sucking while we are worrying that she might swallow the silicone which already torn. So, when we don't offer her she sucks her finger till like this. Any tips from mummies or daddies?

So, we ended up with

MORE PACIFIERS!!!

U can try to wean her off. If she sucks her finger, then take it out of her mouth... no choice, gotta do it often. Worse come to worse, maybe can apply those nail-biting lotion? But gotta make sure it's safe enuff for small toddlers.

Wow, some more expensive pacifiers you got there. I find that it is easier to wean when she understand you. Maybe at the age of 2+. You have to wean slowly: first only give her pacifier during sleep time, next remove pacifier during nap time and lastly remove pacifier during night time. All the best.

I don't encourage the use of pacifier so I think you should start weaning En-en... after all she's already 15 months old now.... high time to wean! LOL

Er... no experience in weaning little one off pacifier. Good luck.

BTW, you have been tag with this award. http://malaika-xiaoyu.blogspot.com/2007/11/tag-whao.html

LOL! Better give her the pacifier. Look at her fingers. That's painful! :)

Some people do try to put "fong yau" (in Cantonese) on top of the sucker for once or twice, it's presumingly quite effective. However, I am not sure as I never let my girl on pacifier. I know it's hard to get rid. Thus never start. :)

And, you've got tag.

jazzmint, bryan's mama, alice:
if she can understand and compromise then all of us will be happy... :(

slavemom: that so called nail-biting lotion? DH will be the first one who scold me if I give that... let her grown it off naturally is better.

michelle: what to do? expensive also have to buy otherwise cheap one can't last long and I'll ended up buying even more.
We don't give her paci when she's awake, only nap and sleep. She will asks for "tut-tut" when she's sleepy otherwise she'll screams!!!

malaika's mummy: malaika so good girl? never fuss without any paci? amazing! Thanks for the award!

healy: I know it's hard to wean but MIL insist to give so that the baby will keep quiet. I was so irritated when I first known my gal is offered but I can't do anything since daytime MIL is taking care of her.
Thanks for the tag... will do it soon!
