The two photos above is the comparison of the fail and successful pastry. I even need to drived out to Giant supermarket to get the butter to bake the second batch... luckily Giant open at 8am and baby Z was still sleeping.
The is the comparison of the first batch of the pastry batter which is too watery and abit lumpy (left) vs the second batch which is more sticky and smooth.
The end product - Pastry fills with custard filling... Absolutely YUMMY!!!
